Pronunciation Tips Sounds of English

When i was a kid, I pronounced "because" with an "o", but then when I went to college, a professor (American) told us to change the vowel to a "schwa", as in thid vid.

However, I've seen many American and British saying the "o" variation. Any advise?

P.S: I love phonetics ;)
