Bush was like two completely different Presidents his two terms. The first term he was great economically with Treasury Sec John Snow. Good financial stuff under that administration. While its shown to have a positive effect for the economy, it's still a government program that's using money that doesn't exist, essentially for a program they have no idea how to run...And yet, they're trying to push another 2 billion for the program!! It's amazing how politians continue to push this country further and further into debt every single day... We've gotten what... about 3 trillion added to the national debt in a mere 8 months!!

@83RS We had similar in the UK, it last one year! Any cars over 10 years old qualified for up to £2500 towards a NEW car. People prefer to keep older reliable cars and not have dealerships putting the price up first by £2500!!! It is terrible to see so many cars going this way. The scheme in the UK was scrapped as it wasn't popular. People don't have £15,000+ to get a new car, especially when a £5000 car is far better built.
