  • Yes, it's Los Alamos, NM (it's my home airport). Yes, it snows in Northern New Mexico (a lot!) - we even have a ski area. No, it's most certainly not Telluride.

  • LOL. And yes it does look an awful lot like Telluride.

  • Amazing, that seemed like a steep angle of attack as he was approaching, wasn't it? Unreal how he nailed the treshold!

  • I completed this mission in FSX!!!!

  • Nice job man!!! Great!!!

  • Los Alamos @ 7171 MSL with 5500 feet give or take snow bank at the end... nice job... a good pair of DEE HOWARD T/R's on your 35 and you are good to go with plenty of extra stopping distance... The Aronca T/R package.. not so hot...

  • Very slippery aircraft - I bet you have to stay way ahead of this one!

  • its a nice plane..

  • Since when does it snow in new Mexico? I thought this was telluride :p

  • i thinks it`s the ,,telluride landing in fsx lolzzz, that`s the real version lolzzz!!

  • Nice landing any extra energy is not good there. I fly out of KSAF and love going into KLAM

  • Uh......looks like Runway 27 at Telluride to me.

  • That was tidy.

  • i like the negative comment.....probly from someone who never even seen a real lear.

    8000+ hours in a lear......any questions?

  • what is the wheezing sound when the plane lands? something to do with cabin pressure?

  • power brakes

  • Actually, beergut is correct... The original Lears make a squeaking sound when you depress the brake pedals...

  • Wheezing is common at high altitude landing.

It comes from engine and happens because at high altitude level of oxygen is low

  • um no......read my reply

  • lol.....not even close

  • This is Los Alamos, NM. The glide path is right over my office.

  • This looks an awful lot like Telluride.

  • Ya i think its telluride

  • It's not. It's Los Alamos NM.

  • oh sorry

  • its like the mission from fsx

  • yeah!!!

  • Also, jets are inherently more complicated and fly much faster (mistakes can lead to serious problems very fast!), so FAA believes the additional workload associated with them is best handled by two pilots.

  • FAA certifies all aircraft designs in the USA. They determine how many crew need to be on any aircraft. The Citation 500 is single pilot capable as well as a couple of other Citations (designated "SP") - but no Learjets, any model.

Another point worth mentioning is that while the FAA may allow for single pilot operations on some CJ's, insurance companies are none too cool on the idea.

  • I believe Clay Lacy owns an original 20 series prototype that has a waiver to be flown single pilot. Its the only one i know of.

  • lol thats funny.

  • I have a question! Can you fly this type of airplane just by yourself or there have to be 2 people(pilots) in the cockpit? Thanks!

  • 2 pilot crew is mandatory.

  • nbkillan1982 its at the decretion of the manufacturer when the aircraft is certified.

  • just a "tad" low on that approach...lol....lucky there

  • sonoma airport arizona ?

  • Not KTEX.

  • Great landing, looked really quick, i flew in there this afternoon but in a Grumman Tiger :)

  • Which airport is it?

  • thats one runway you dont wanna fuck up on

  • Could ring alive Los Alamos

  • How long is the runway anyways?

  • 5550'

  • And no Jet-A.

FYI 5550 feet is not a short runway for a 36. It's fine for a 60 (when dry).

  • Nailed the landing and still used up the whole runway. You got to feel sorry for the pilots that don't stick the landing in a similar jet. I'm sure there's a chance someone is going off the runway one day.

  • Tight squeeze. Well done.

  • This almost looks like the approach into Telluride Regional in Colorado.

  • I thought it was Telluride as well. I fly that approach all the time...in Flight Simulator lol.

  • Telluride is got alot longer runway!

  • Telluride has runway 9, you can't land on 17

  • You mean 27? and yes you CAN land on it.

  • Yes I'm sorry I meant 27. And I thought, from a non-pilot knowledge, that where was a hill right behind it. Anyway, do people really land on 27 in telluride??

  • ya!

  • Great video. I wasnt aware of the fact that snow falls in NM. I thought it was too warm there.

  • The Rocky Mountains extend into New Mexico.

  • Point made lol
