  • thats how its done, full stop ,

  • wish the sound quality was better

  • John Hartford Lives! Keep up the good work Maggie and congratulations on your work with PMG.

  • she remindes me of the fiddle player mairead nesbitt in celtic woman

  • At first, I thought she was dancing on air. After repeated watching at hi zoom, I found 2 leprachan hiding under her feet holding her up. Best regards and please don't ever stop.

  • pretty woman, great fiddle playing, great dancing, fire the camera man.

  • Very nice. I'm gonna go ask my wife why the hell she can't do that.

(j/k) Very nice. Adorably cute and talented, what's not to like! ;^)

  • To those who would criticize: put a fiddle under your chin, play well and do a Celtic dance while you are playing. All in front of an audience. Go on now....

  • Wow! Amazing.

  • shes good .... but along step behind the master ...Mac Master......areckin.

  • it certainly gets points for difficulty --the dancing, that is

  • Maggie can win a fiddle made of gold playing against the devil.

  • Fantastic,

  • love this odd accents!

  • awesome playing!

  • Wonderfull! =)

    ;)

    =D

  • Wow. All the things you need to do at once to play the violin are hard enough, and she's dancing while she plays. That's some multitasking ability right there.

  • American Idol's got nothing on Maggie!

  • classically trained no doubt.

  • about as good as April Verch!

  • Great Job! I haven't heard that tune in a while, Jennifer Roland wrote it, It's called "Cape Breton Batherson Dancers" or is it , "Forresters"? I can't remember, i used to play it a long long time ago! Amazing job!

  • love it!! :) wooooo you go girl haha! :)

  • This is amazing, Maggie, but not a good idea. You were so perfect at the Clarksville contest with the waltz, and now it looks like your "showing-off" - and this is very sad. You don't need to do this !!

  • @bertwindon Like I always tell my baby girl, the loudest boos come from the cheapest seats. Like this one. She is touring all over the country with one of the most accomplished bands in America. She is as good as it gets. She is also a Hellacious mandolin player, dancer and arranger. She has recorded several CD's with some prestigious musicians--all the while going to college and making 4.0 grades. Still a teenager.

  • @mrfiddleman

    OOOOOOh - I never knew that !

who is "booing" ? and since when did adjectives begin with a capital letter ?

Do you do English lessons as well ?

I am one of Maggies most ardent fans by the way, and thank her greatly for her amazing performance at Clarkesville which has opened-up an entirely new game for me - Mrfiddleman. They also say "empty vessels make most noise" - and many other things. Take your pick.

  • Fiddle and violin are the same instrument. The only real difference is how you play and the kind of music you play. Fiddles were being played in Ireland, Scottland and Norway before the United States existed.

  • She is very cute too.

  • As Jed Clampet would say, "That's some mighty fine stompin' and fiddlin'"

  • ooh, i'm gonna have some weird dreams tonight i can tell. somethin' about a pixie on my shoulder and/or a carousel coo-coo clock.

  • really good! wow.

  • Well played, Ms. Estes. Well played, indeed.

  • Is amazing an beautifull... hahahaha

  • man this girl is amazing. holy crap

  • there is no physical difference between the two. The difference is in the style of play. A violin is more precise(think orchestra concert) whereas a fiddle is more for danceability(think laid back good time).

  • what is the difference of a fiddle and a violin

  • emotion of the person with the bow in their hand, standing up playin...........not at the altar of a director!!!!

  • @maxnacho188

The diff is you play the fiddle in the South and play a violin in the North. It's continental

  • Not so. Nero played the fiddle...in Rome...Italy.

  • Really the only real difference is the "bridge", fiddlers love to use double stops and by having a radius bridge it allows for fiddlers to play double stops easier.

Banjo Roller, Mandolin Chopper, Guitar Flat Picker, and Fiddler here....did I mention that I sing a bit also?

  • Her fiddle playing is sav.. but im a better dancer than her and i can do all that at the same time..! i won an all ireland for it haa

  • never seen such a thing! and she's just lovely =)

  • wow beautiful....the fiddle playin isn't bad either

  • wow it's hard enough to play while standing still let alone tap dancing. good job!

  • Kinda looks like Maria Sharapova, too.

  • Me, professional violin player can sey you she play very clear. It's so hard and with good character. Bravo mademoiselle, tre`s bonne

  • think the tune is called the rights of man great performance

  • Now that's what I'd like to see, more of Dancing while you playing. It looks so good and you did a great job!!!!

  • We saw Maggie play in Lawrence KS with Peter Mayer. She is super talented as an accompanist, I'd love to see her as a headliner. Keep up the great shows!

  • Dance to your woen tune girl

  • I'd go her!

  • She competed in the Old Time Fiddle Championship in Clarksville, TN where clogging or buck dancing in the American Scots-Irish tradition is still alive and well. She's a very talented young lady.

  • I to can pat my head and rub my stomach at the same time... she has nothing on me!

  • i lol'd

  • here in yorkshire we call it clogging it is still done in the pits and mills of yorkshire and we are going to start thowing them at bankers who have got all our brass ( money ) all best from england

  • You are truly amazing!! And, to the person below, I do not think this is clogging, I believe it is Irish Step DaNCING.

  • My daughter clogs in Lilburn Ga, and for Maggie to do what she did was inspiring! I had so much fun watching her perform!

    Thank you!

  • Awesome talent!

  • I can pat my head and rub my belly at the same time.

  • Wow !!! Amazing talent !

  • We were blessed to see Maggie perform this weekend with Peter Mayer in Omaha. What a talented young lady!
