besides, alam mo naman kung nakainom ang tao even without having your nose close to your victim. sa pag survey mo pa lang ng scene at pag check ng concousness magkakaron ka ng ng idea kung intoxicated nga ang tao. kung nakakatulog lang, paghingi mo pa lang ng permission, o pag check mo ng responsiveness, magigising mo na yun. and assume na walang ems, transfer facilities lang. walang mawawala pag ginamit mo ang logic ng manual, hindi lang ung nakasulat. wake up, pilipinas po ito.
memyself, wag ka lang magbasa ng comment. intindihin mo. at ireview mo uli ang logic ng nasa manual mo. dont just read between the lines ok? what is the purpose of surveying the scene? hindi lang yon para sa safety mo, ng biktima mo, at ng bystanders mo. kung mag isa ka lang at kayo lang ng biktima mo ang nasa scenario, anong gagawin mo? pano kung mas malaki masyado ang victim mo? concious o hinde, humingi ka ng tulong. as a FA'er, assume for the worst so you can give your best.
oninz007 tama naman siya ah, pag may nag no edi call ems na xmpre bwl mo na un galawin kc may ndi pumayag mademanda ka pa... pakingan mo kc ung ginawa nya wag k react kagad tapusin mo muna ung video ok... hehehe
wilkilao, wtf are you saying? after checking, responsive or not, you should always call for help. what if the victim has wounds and fractures? FA'ers do not have the right to perform surgery.
marco020485, if you're a pre-hospital care provider then I'm sure you know what I'm saying. My statement was0 very clear that the unconscious victim is the priority here, however conscious can be also only if you found out that he/she sustained injuries and illness that may lead to life threatening condition. (Did you know what are NOI and MOI categorized under the life threatening condition?), then you need to call for help while immobilizing and stabilizing your patient.
Anyway any major or minor condition can be brought to hospital, its your call but remember you must follow first the procedures before you do silly decisions. The bottom line here is before you call for help make sure that the person is a persuasive genuine victim and not a mere person whos trying to get to sleep or alcoholic intoxicated while you interrupted him along the way.
if you let your victim vomit after the victim revives, recovery position should be facing away from you, not towards you. vomitus can be a pathogen carrier. same as in adult.
Scene survey, BSI on, check the LOC-AVPU, if "CONFIRMED" Unconscious or Unresponsive victim that's the only time u call for help. Any unconscious victim or sudden loss of consciousness upon injury or illness should be brought to hospital immediately, while waiting for the ambulance,u can do the A-B-C assessment. Now what will u do if ur alone, with a cardiac arrest victim & he has also severe bleeding "profusely" on his left thight (open laceration)what's ur priority? CPR or Control bleeding?
bobita tong instructor na to activate agad ng ems pano kung na22log lang yan d ka muna nag check ng responsiveness tanga tanga bobits ka neng nakakahiya ka mag aral ka nga ng buong sequence tanga!
after you check the responsiveness of the victim you should activate the medical assistance 1st my god!! what if your victim is only sleeping then you activate the medical assistance what do you think will happen. that's why we should check 1st the responsiveness of the victim and shes doing the nose tilt maneuver, since the victim is child it should be in a neutral plus position.
i just noticed that the hands and 1 of the elbow are not in proper position...and so with the head it must be head tilt...if you really watch the sceen n observe you will know what i mean..just an observation don't be offended....
