  • Man i really appreciate the videos you post dogg.

  • hey, very good video, but i need your help please!! i did everithing you said but i don`t have the xbox wirelles, and the xbox controller and gamepad companion don`t detect the rockband drumset, i conected the usb to my usb compuer. Do i need the wirelles usb??

  • i installed all the programs but i still cant get it to work my drumset is connected through wires though midi in midi out to usb then to my mac gamepad isnt reading thats its there and i got the driver as well

  • noo fckingshit app store it's not free anymore gamepad companion u need to pay 6€ so 8$ ore something :/

  • What was the result with the velocity? Was it accurate to the point that you could change the sound of each pad depending on how hard you hit? Finally, how well do you think this would work on a PS3 kit?

  • THANKS MAN. THIS MADE IT WORK

  • Does the xbox wireless gaming reciever work with macbooks? Or is there anything else I can use instead that is compatible with macs? Thanks

  • @bboyspaz i have a mac book pro. can i use any 360 wireless gaming thing or is there a specific one for mac or can i just get the 10 dolla one?

    thanks

    Mason

  • what program are u using now to controll it

  • i'm unable to connect my controllers / guitar hero drums as well... i read somthing earlier that said you have to make sure you buy the wireless gaming receiver with "Microsoft" logo on front rather than "Xbox 360" logo for it to work on mac. ofcourse no one told me and i bought the one with xbox 360 on the front of it so NarvieIsADrumma and ahwow, that may be your problem as well.

  • yea i did that

  • fuck

  • I open up the 360 Controllers preference pane and it wont recognize my 360 drums

  • ive done all this and it wont read my controller

  • Is there realistic sounds?

  • Can u use a midi to usb chord instead of the wireless thing

  • dude, i got this application (LIVE) just to do this drum thing because garageband has a half a second delay but i cant figure out how to configure it in live! can you help me?

  • awesome! thank you!

  • can this work with the wii drums too?

  • cool

  • i wanna know how to download music to world tour or any other guitar hero please tell me how

  • 2 questions really

does it create any lagging what with it being wireless and all

and does this work on garageband or protools etc

thanks for the video tho nice to see it does actually work

  • Ive installed everyting but the software just says no devices found???

  • Does this also work with the drum controller for ps2/3

  • you forget the lag ... its actually a little laggy for playing live

  • sweet!! very detailed tutorial, as always. Thanks :)

  • Can you find out how to put the drums for x box 360 on garageband? also where do i get the xbox 360 controller on the systmen perference. and the gamepad companies and can you do it step by step again but for garageband. thank u

  • Hi! I have no idea how you did it, but it's really great! I have the Wii GHWT drums and a pc so how do it connect the drums to become electronic drums? The same way? Not familiar with the Microsoft Gaming wireless thing. Need help!

  • how do you change the hi hat sound? we use another pedal?

  • REALLY AMAZING! You've done a good job. The video has a very good quality.

  • Hey m8 ... really nice idea tbh...I would like to ask you about the new Dj hero ... can u play it on Mac as u can play Guitar Hero?

  • Omg,

    1. Awesome mic

    2. Awesome camera

    3. Awesome idea

    4. Awesome tutorial

    5. Awesome guy ;)

  • thats good sh/t i would have never thought that you could do this.

  • Do you think this is possible with the DJ Hero turntable? And use it as a midicontroller for DJing in Traktor or Ableton?

  • that's a GOOD question. I actually haven't even had the chance to play DJ Hero. and I'm kinda sad, but if and whenever I get my hands on it I'll give it a try. That would be awesome!!

  • @drgonz1 it can be done. use ocsulator

  • cool vid

  • does any one know how to do it with the PS3 version????

  • is it possible without the wireless receiver? like download the drivers, then hook up the wire and you're done?

  • Hey. Nice video it helped me alot.

By the way, how do you zoom in on your cursor like that?

    Thanks

  • I was using this program ScreenFlow. It's totally awesome and worth the money!

  • Screen Flow makes you zoom on your cursor? like in 1:29 to 1:37?

  • yea those are some of the functions of the program. its really awesome. its about $100

  • ok thanks

  • Oh Yeah i meant to ask. How did you record the screen shots of Live?

    Cheers again

    ES-P

  • using a program called screenflow. its pretty awesome. its how i recorded me and ableton at the same time. LOVE IT!

  • Thanks Spaz

I got my GHWT drums going with your help. Most appreciated.

I'm using the kits from Ultra Beat & EXS24 in Logic, hooked up to studio speakers. Man it sound awesome.

    Cheers for the links too

    Regards

    ES-P

  • That was pretty awesome. I may have to try this out and see if I can get Rock Band drums working and with GarageBand, but I may have to try out Ableton.

  • what music program do u use in this vid??

  • Ableton Live. I'm on version 6.

  • this worked great but my gamepad companion trial ran out. do you have the seril number for gamepad companion?

  • I don't. Sorry.

  • at last a video on it,i have a pc what software do use instead of game companion?

  • I guess you would just use the software that actually comes with that xbox wireless usb connector things. not totally sure tho.

  • I would like gladly drums of drumhero in garageband use and white as I that to make am not have neither a Xbox, wii still ps3 only a ps2 have you me an hint?

  • Can u tell me what program is best : Logic, Fl, Ableton, Garageband or reasons

  • I don't really think out of all of those programs you could say one is best. It really depends on what you're trying to do, and also how you use it. I use most all of those programs except fl and garageband. I feel they have to many limitations. But logic ableton and reason are all pretty beast

  • Personally I'd choose Logic, it's the most expensive, but, I believe, The most capable.

Definately not Garageband or FL. But Reason and Ableton are also very good

  • yep great choice. and one thing for everyone to remember is that Logic comes with a whole CRAP LOAD of sounds and synths with it. rather than other programs like ProTools that make you buy 50million add on and such.

  • What about if I want to do the same with a PS3 copy of Guitar Hero??

    Pleaz Reply!

  • i actually have no idea as i don't own a ps3. I'll look into it for you tho. i think its actually easier on the ps3, b/c the ps3 version actually has a midi out. but i'm not sure. i'll check on it for you.

  • That just Awesome!!!! good job man 5/5

  • thanks man. it's pretty fun!

  • awesome dude thanks!

  • COOOL! :)

  • lol i had just found out how to hook up the mic to the mac and use kJams for Karaoke.... and now this!!!! :D You Rock dude!

    Thanks a lot

  • never had an interest in that game until now haha, cheap midi drum kit here i come

  • good job spaz. i might have to get me some of those drums

  • I'd be a bit worried about latency, does it feel pretty instantaneous?

  • yea, i didn't feel like i had any issues with latency. other than the latency of me not being able to play exactly on the beat. lol

  • I guess for the prix it is hard to beat. Excuse the pun. Luckily you can fix up your mistakes or set the record quantize to something that you are comfortable with. I find 1/16T usually sounds about decent when I'm playing my MIDI keyboard.

  • that's so dope man. seems to be definitely super funny. and the beat is nice too. peace

  • Awesome!
