  • I am with technofab1, when you live in a small town, sometimes it kind of hard to not get double gifts! That is why having sites that offer free shipping really helps too, especially in tough times like we are having!!

  • Times have certainly changed. Back when the missus and I were having kids, I sorta made my . . . uh . . . contribution and was then pretty much in the way. I agree with everyone in the comments. The Dads need gifts too and this is good place to look for them. One of my favorite online shopping sites.

  • Another problem is if you live in a small town, everyone gets you the same thing just because that's what's available, I'm so thankful for the internet and places like this!

  • Poor woman, is she in pain, or is she sad to see all those diaper bags?

  • she's not in pain. she takes one look at all those diaper bags and panics saying "what?? NO!"

  • My cousin just had her first child last night...came here and found inspiration about where to find a gift. Thanks, Howie.

  • Back in Sicily, we didn't have baby showers. We didn't have baby baths! You took your baby down to the river along with your laundry. ;-)

  • I was just shopping for a new grandbaby on the way - so much easier than fighting with these insane crowds that seem to be out lately!

  • I really thought she was going into labor at first...lol, she was just too happy for me. Then again, who wouldn't be happy to have a beautiful precious baby...lol. Too funny to watch her reaction.

  • Thankfully at my shower I didn't get any duplicates.... at least all she would have to do is return two of them and then pick something bigger and better out.

  • Normally I would be grateful for any gift, but when you're pregnant those hormones tend to make it hard to hide your emotions!

  • I guess if I was the expecting mother I would just smile and accept the gift and then as soon as all my friends left run out to the nearest and exchange all but one.

  • haha luckily my whole family has finally caught on to the online wishlist so we're not running into this problem anymore!

  • I've only been to one baby shower in my life and it was pretty organized - meaning we all know what each person was getting so it wouldn't be repetitive! But, absolutely - I agree that a gift is a gift and exchanging it is always fun!

  • Exactly, a gift is just that, a gift.. the old saying .. don't look a gift horse in the mouth..

  • I have to agree. It's a gift so be gracious. The giver couldn't have known she'd get three!

  • Kind of ungrateful of the mom-to-be.. Smile and exchange them later. :)

  • I agree on one level. But then again, that's pretty hard to do when you get FOUR diaper bags. I'm not surprised the mom's patience ran out at that point!

  • 3 diaper bags may come in handy if they are not all the same though, right? I mean a woman has got to accessorize!

  • I don't remember my wife having a baby shower, and if we had, we'd have welcomed any gifts at all, well.. maybe not 3 diaper bags!

  • I still don't have any gift ideas but after watching this twice I have this craving for pickles and ice cream

  • What?! No!!! I love it! My favorite part is the look on her friend's face when the baby kicks!

  • those days are gone for me, but i still like getting gifts. buydotcom anyone?

  • I know. Mommy gifts are great, especially if Howie delivers them!

  • I love mommy gifts!

  • maybe that woman really does need all those diaper bags - one for the car - one for grammas....

  • is it just me or does that room not have a back wall?

  • This is a prime example of why gift givers should get together and coordinate what they're giving. That way you avoid embarrassing duplication

  • My wife didn't get a lot of diaper bags like that, but she did get a lot of diapers. That was ok for us though as we of course ended up using them all.

  • Maybe the woman is having triplets, and that's why she's so dismayed at the third diaper bag ;)

  • She looks like she's having triplets - either that or a ginormous baby!

  • Did the pregnant lady eat something that was sour? I loved the look on her face, totally cracked me up., actually reminded me of when my child was a baby and we gave him a lemon slice...the look was priceless.

  • maybe it was all those pickles she snarfed...

  • That is so true reading some of the prior comments, a visit to the gift registry and maybe, just maybe they would not of gotten her THREE diaper bags. And where did the third guest run off too? Must be in the kitchen flirting with Howie huh?

  • I never even thought of giving the mom a gift, maybe because it's always fun to go baby shopping. ~wink~

  • I guess gifts for the mother to be it's a great idea, not only the baby needs new things, also the mother.

  • I guess most friends think the mother doesn't have a diaper bag, but usually is one of the first things a mother to be buys. Imagination needed.

  • If her nursery is as sparsely decorated as where they're having the shower, she probably didn't need to register for anything ;)

  • Well well, how many babies is she having? Three baby bags?...something we don't know.

Next time maybe friends can decide before the shower what they will give among them

  • Have these women never heard of a baby registry before? (For that matter, it's kind of a quiet shower - only three guests). Good thing there's Howie.

  • All her friends should have gotten together before the shower to discuss gifts. Then this situation would never have happened.

  • @loveandlaughingify That's what I tend to do sometimes.. that way we can buy one big gift instead of a bunch of little ones.

  • Dye em some color other than a pastel and she could repurpose or regift as 'home-made' (or at least home decorated!). Easier to just get something else in the first place! ;)

  • cadencehopestill, I can see it now: "What? No, this isn't a diaper bag. It's a gym bag. No, really."

  • Never mind regifting...she could make a fortune selling those extra bags at certain online auction places...

  • Wow! That's a lot of diaper bags, it's too bad they look so much like something you'd find in a nursery or she could've repurposed a couple. At least be creative!

  • I can totally see that scenario happening with a regifting. I forget from one day to the next who got me what. Major faux pas time.

  • Come on, there are plenty of useful gifts besides a diaper bag to get for an expectant mom. Stroller, carrier, car seat, clothes, diaper Genie, crib, bassinet, changing table, playpen, toys, bottle warmer...

  • I guess great minds think a lot right?? Not. No matter how many babies a mother has I still don't think you need all those diaper bags.

  • Regifting.. LOL I can imagine this scenario:

'oh, sue's pregnant? I have a gift already!'

'Oh polly, what a great diaper bag..' *pause* 'HEY I gave you that same bag!'

    Oops!

  • LOL!

Sue: "And... I liked it so much that I bought you one just like it!"

  • Good idea getting mom something. But what about dad?

  • The only thing those diaper bags are good for is regifting! She won't have to shop for baby showers for years :)

  • She could always put those diaper bags away and give them back to her friends when they have babies...

  • Hopefully this woman has lots of friends who are having babies. She can just give them all away. lol

  • Could that furniture be any more orange? Yikes.

  • Still having issues on the multiple diaper bags., and not enough people. But will agree on buying something for The Mom and Dad to be is always a nice surprise.

  • ok the baby butt wipes just totally cracked me up! I spewed coffee all over my desk! LMBO

  • You could totally use butt wipes to clean up the coffee. and than your desk would smell like... a babys butt? OK, bad idea, nevermind. :-D

  • diaper bags do come in handy but several of the same kind/design is senseless. LoL

  • their expressions are priceless at the end. lol

    buydotcom is great!

  • I wonder why people feel the need to always buy diaper bags.. why not go out on a limb and get blankets? Even in summer, blankets are useful.

  • You make a good point, professor, plus baby blankets always smell so fresh! And you can never have enough of them with all the accidents that can occur in the day to day.

  • Hey, a diaper bag isn't a bad gift. It's just when you get four of the exact same one that things start to get out of hand!!!

  • Or if everyone gets you the same thing - YAY, 15 diaper bags in varying designs! >.>

  • Can I just get a buydotcom gift card? Something tells me I'd still end up getting shot for buying the wrong kind of perfume or something haha! Great idea though.

  • As a clueless guy, I'm really lucky that my girlfriend pointed out to me that the baby can't actually use all that stuff, it's used on their behalf and that the Moms have just been through a pretty stressful nine months. Of course, I think there's probably something for Dad at buydotcom too. I'm just saying.

  • Vic, I have to confess, my husband is much better at picking out baby shower gifts than I am and he always insists on a gift for the baby, the Mom, and the Dad. He likes to point out to his oh too practical wife that having a baby is a family affair. (Pun intended.)

  • Rhetta, I think your husband is actually right (sounds like a nice guy) in going with the family angle for showers. I have a friend whose husband was ticked when the OBGYN wouldn't talk to him on visits. He felt dissed and left out because it's his baby too. And he did get Dad gifts at the shower, fun and funny stuff like an iPod dock for the stroller.

  • When / if I ever have a baby shower I hope someone is kind enough to give me perfume... and maybe at least one really cute diaper bag ;)

  • I'm going to a baby shower soon for one of my fiance's friends and he suggested I give her a diaper bag... I just rolled my eyes and laughed. Men, so clueless.

  • lol Kristi, never listen to Joe's advice on gifts!! *shakes head* He's just lucky you're so easy to buy for.

  • Okay, I've learned two things. Buydotcome does free shipping and baby showers aren't what they used to be. I think it makes perfect sense that the whole family be included.

  • Yeah geo, I've actually never paid for shipping there and I've been using buydotcom for years

  • That is so true about the younger siblings feeling left out. A small gift to let them know they haven't been forgotten would totally make their day!

  • That's an excellent point about including gifts for other kids in the family so they don't feel left out. With the free shipping offer, it would be easy to get something for Mom, the baby, and a toy for the soon to be big brother or sister.

  • I think the whole point is to celebrate the creation of a new family or an addition to an existing family. If there's another child, get him or her something to. All you hear about big brother or big sister is how "excited" they are, but sometimes they're pretty upset and feel displaced by all the attention on "the baby."

  • Wow. I feel sorry for that poor mommy to be. Good thing Howie was there to save her! I love the free shipping there - makes it truly worthwhile to shop online!

  • I'm sending all of my friends to watch this one!

  • I don't know anything about baby showers or that stuff, but I know that babies don't need three diaper bags and neither do parents! Be creative and go for the free shipping every time.

  • Its funny how I mentioned this video to the wife, and she just rec'd a baby shower invite and was dumbfounded on what to get her friend...so now she's on the hunt to find out what she likes or wants without giving it away, plus I told her to go to buydotcom.

  • I agree Dade, buy her something super special. and something for HER not the baby or the baby's room.

  • If I were you, I would definitely buy your wife something before her baby shower, just a cute reminder of how much you love her!! I would go check out buydotcom to see what goodies you can buy, maybe you can find something for yourself.

  • Yeah! You could get a nice "ManBAG" instead of the girly diaper bags! HA! I think its so sad to see grown men walking around with pink diaper bags slung over their shoulders.

  • I absolutely adore my daughter and I absolutely despite her Hello Kitty diaper bag. I finally went out and bought something in a solid color so when I'm taking care of her I don't feel like a total idiot. It would have been great to get "man" appropriate stuff and at least one of the baby showers.

  • My wife is having a baby shower next weekend, and I "boys are not invited".Should I still get her a gift?

I wish Howie was in MY living room helping me with My problems!

  • Oh yes Dade - you should still get her a gift! After all - she's the one carrying that baby and will have to do all the hard work. To get good husband points - get her a gift!

  • I think it's a great idea to get the dad a gift, too! They're just as important in the scheme of things and ought to be remembered, too!

  • I love the reaction of the Mom and the other lady at the end of the video...was it a swift kick or what?

Don't forget about the Dads to be either!! They are the ones that put up with all the craziness and moodiness too!! buydotcom has lots of nice gadgets and electronics to choose from.

  • Why am I not surprised on how Howie just makes things appear magically? I love this idea, and hope it catches on for all our Expectant Moms. Our Moms to be, need some tlc for caring their babies for months and months.

  • You are so right! Those last months of pregnancy and the first months with a new baby are so stressful. It would be so nice to show the mommies that people are thinking about them too!

  • What a awesome idea on buying the Mom something at her baby shower, Thanks Howie!!

  • Woa! That's a lot of diaper bags for just one baby! (Or is she having triplets?) I wish someone would have gotten me some perfume at my baby showers!

  • Oh wow. I;m happy I am a man and men aren't traditionally allowed at baby showers!

trying to keep a pregnant hormonal woman happy is NOT easy

  • When my second child was born, I was included in all the shower stuff with my wife. I made all the appropriate gumbles, but it made me feel good. "I" didn't get any gifts per se, but I wouldn't have objected if somebody had laid some cool daddy bear electronics on me. ;-)

  • I thought she was going to have the baby right there.

  • I love the previous comments about feeling the baby kick...or was it that she touched her...lol. Great idea on buying something for the Mom to be.

  • Aww! I miss those days! All my babies are growing up!

IO remember getting some really craptacular baby shower gifts back int eh day.I wish buydotcom had been around THEN!

  • How could she not know she's pregnant? I think she could nearly rival the octomom, size-wise.

  • MsCharmed, maybe she's shocked that her friend is touching her!

  • Am I the only one who finds it disturbing that there are only 2 guests?

  • Why does the mother-to-be look so surprised to feel the baby kick? I'd think at that big she's felt it before...

  • The face the mother-to-be makes just before she's frozen is truly priceless.

  • I love baby showers, too! I would probably do as Howie says & buy something for the mom, but I'd also get a baby gift.

  • Craftywitch1: That's a great idea. I love it. Buy something for Mom AND Baby.

  • I just got a comment from someone saying they decorate in orange and would love the couch featured in this video. Oh, well, I guess there are all kinds of tastes out there :)

  • Am I the only one who usually likes going to baby showers? Where are all the guests? Visiting with everyone makes it fun (and seeing all the cute, fun baby gifts, besides diaper bags ;) )

  • Okay, now see, this is why they do those gift register things. I was clueless on baby showers until my wife and I helped give one for my business partner. They list off the stuff they need and then they don't wind up with four diaper bags.

  • I he still doing "deal or no deal"? (we don't get that network anymore)

  • Now that show was cool... 26 lovelies on stage at once

  • we had a small baby shower once at work for one of our co workers, it was just a handful of us, so its not uncommon to have a mini shower, I think it was a sweet idea to have something for mom, nice save at the end, always love happy endings!

  • I agree, actually two people and four diaper bags? But then again, its not how many but having your friends there for your biggest day next to your wedding is what counts...and getting a little surprise is also nice for the Mom to be.

  • isn't three people kinda small for a baby shower? I'd have expected more.

  • What's that ? Was I suppose to buy the wife something for having my Son? I bought her a new tractor, so does that count? Maybe next time, I will buy her something nice like some good smelling perfume like Howie suggested.

  • I say get her a vacation... she's gonna need it

  • What's so awful about multiple diaper bags? I mean, one for home, one for work, one for car...it kind of makes sense.

  • Poor girl...she looks terrified with so many diaper bags or is it the baby kicking?

  • Howie again with such good ideas for gifts...and...free shipping.

That's a great idea to give a gift to the mother also.

  • I just noticed that after the perfume and other little gifts appear, the diaper bags are still in the room.

  • I like the look of that big tv when he's browsing at buydotcom.... and with free shipping? That would be a great anytime gift - trust me, mom may need a 'pick me up' more after the baby comes!

  • I have to wonder what happened to pasting on a smile and being happy about getting anything.

  • Hopefully the small gifts aren't baby butt wipes and lotion!

  • At least the rest of the gifts on the table are too small to be diaper bags..I hope it's not a few more bottles of the same perfume! Hahahaha...

  • Awe, the diaper bags are cute though, they sure have come a long way in that department huh? I guess we never think about getting mom to be a present because, after all isn't that really the baby??

  • i don't know if perfume is a good gift for a PG woman, smells often bother them, trust me, I know! I would rather get a camera or video recorder to take pictures and video of the new baby!

  • Note to self: if wife gets pregnant, visit buydotcom for perfume.

  • She's got to be the crankiest pregnant lady ever to be that rude at her own baby shower....

  • Once again, Howie and buydotcom save the day...but is it just me or is bald Howie reminiscent of Mr. Clean. (But, in better clothes)?

  • The woman does indeed look like she's ready to pop at any second. That seems a little far along in the pregnancy to have the shower. Don't people usually do it a bit earlier?

  • Actually, I recently attended a shower that was AFTER the birth - although in that case the baby was premature. Sadly, Howie wasn't there.

  • Hopefully this woman has her baby soon. She's looks like she's ready to give birth any time now.

  • Even if she was about to pop out triplets three diaper bags is overkill. Good thing there's Howie and buydotcom.

  • When we gave my god daughter her baby shower the only thing we really had duplicates of were burp cloths & receiving blankets, but it's still nice to think of the new mom, too.

  • I guess that lady needs to have more babies just so she get can use out of so many diaper bags. LOL

  • I'm pregnant, and I sure hope when my baby shower arrives that Howie comes too!!!

  • that Pregnant lady cracks me up with the look on her face when Howie snaps his fingers...

  • This video brings back so many memories. I really hope other people purchase this lady other things besides diaper bags. lol

  • How old is Howie now? I can't tell age.... And I think the bald head makes him look younger than he is :) Wish he'd show up at my events!

  • I wonder how in the world I can convince my mom to shop here instead of the wllyworld! Maybe I will tell her that Howie comes with every new camcorder! LOL!

  • I love it when Howie says, "That ought to smell better!" lol It's not as though the diapers were used already!!!

  • why not ask the mother before the shower what she/the baby needs, that way there will be no duplicated gifts.

  • I think my mom's friends need to take lessons from Howie.

  • they are great all around. of course Howie helps a lot...I totally dig him! LoL

  • yup Howie had hair! Personally I like him better without it

  • OMG. I'd make the same face if I was given three diaper bags.

  • My little sister just told me she has to go to a baby shower for a co-worker soon. Of course I told her where to shop :)

  • i guess i can say I learned something new today. when going to a shower you should also buy something for the mom.

  • WHAT THE FUCK??? i type in Warcraft 3 cheats in google click on a link and it takes me to thiS??? WTF

  • Hopefully they were just pulling a prank on her and really bought her something else. I can't imagine having everyone buy me the same thing.. how awful!

  • I barely remember Howie when he had hair, it was a shock at first to see him without it, now it seems normal!

  • the last time I saw Howie with hair he was in the movie "Revelation"

  • Howie had hair? I don't remember that happening.

  • I don't either. Must have been years ago.

  • Yep, He sure did. It was a "natural" 'fro wannabe kinda thing. then one day he shows up on Regis and he's bald

  • Nevermind the shower decorations - there are hardly any decorations in the whole room ;) Hopefully someone can get her some household stuff at buydotcom too!

  • im so glad i dont have to go to showers. it seemed like when my wife had hers she ended up with tons of baby clothes.

  • You just saved my life Howie! I Just bought a diaper bag!.. gonna go trade it in for something else!

  • Comment removed

  • Oooh gift certificates to buydotcom! Now that's a gift every new mom would appreciate!

  • I believe a gift certificate would also be a good gift. The mother could buy what she really needs

  • This video is so funny! Imagine Howie showing up at a baby shower.

  • And a housekeeper to come in a few days a week for the first couple of months! Come to think of it, I could still use that LOL!

  • What she really needs is at least three weeks worth of free nanny / babysitter service so she can have time to recover

  • Maybe Howie should have brought some party decorations with him too. This is the least decorated baby shower I've ever seen. Two balloons? That's it? lol

  • I noticed that. I was trying to figure out what kind of baby shower it was with no decorations or guests even, really.

  • I have two baby showers to go to. I guess I know where I'll be making my purchases. Thanks for the suggestion Howie.

  • Diapers are a safer bet than a diaper bag. A new mom can never have too many of those!

  • I would have to agree with you on that one rikirakoon. Especially when they are infants, they go through them so darn fast.

Diapers, butt wipes, and butt cream.

  • wow she looks like she could pop at any minute!! I don't think my wife and I ever thought about getting something for mom to be, hmm interesting concept!

  • I wonder if they do gift shipping? My god daughter is pregnant again and has moved to another state, i think I'll check and see.

  • The gift-per-guest ratio seems pretty favorable for the mom-to-be! I don't know that I'd be rolling my eyes at all those presents if I were her :)

  • that's an awefully small babyshower - 4 diaper bags and only 2 guests? lol

but it is funny...love her expressions

  • Call me crazy, but I'd be happy with butt wipes and diaper rash cream. That stuff really adds up! But if someone wanted to bring me some perfume as well, that would be fine with me.

  • ...wonder if there is any chocolate in the smaller boxes?

I craved chocolate and fast foods when I was pregnant!

  • Comment removed

  • The packages on the left of the table are too small to be more diaper bags - hopefully it's more goodies from buydotcom!
