  • All ready to go in a pulpwood truck

  • Sounds like an old John Deer........man tune it!!!!!

  • It sounds like hell because it was recorded on a cell phone. You dont record videos on a cell phone. Sorry. Get a video camera.

  • ok.

now let's strap her in a 67 lol

  • What kind of heads does that engine have?

  • I believe that the L89 was the same spec as the L88, the differance being the heads. cast iron or aluminum

  • @Bones3dogs

naw different engine. the L89 was the same as the L71, except the L89 had aluminum heads. they were both tri-power 435 horse engines.

the L88 had i believe a single 4 barrel carb and, although a 427, 4 bolt main, solid lifter engine (like the L71 and 89), was a completely different animal altogether.

    cheers!

  • Sounds Great! I like the stock HEI, is it staying on the motor?

  • Breathe you Dragon, Breathe!

  • Thanks for the compliment. You may wish to check a few resources on the aluminium head comment, though. Glad you enjoyed the video.

  • L88s never came with aluminium heads...but thats still a dam nice motor

  • wrong, the L88 had aluminum cylinder heads with enlarged ports, hotter crankshaft, and bigger carburetor
