Yes, but when I attended that catholic church, I was neither Catholic nor Christian. All I wanted to do was play guitar in the guitar mass with the other guitar players. I didn't know the first thing about what Catholics or Protestants believed, or really what constituted the difference. Some of the nicest Christians I've ever met were Catholic, including the ones that used to invite me to that guitar mass. I even sang a special there once! "If I Had Wings" by Peter, Paul & Mary as I recall.

Well, you may be right, but so far every web site or hymnal I've looked at says it's "fresh from the word" or "fresh from the world." Cat Stevens sings "fresh from the world," and that's how I learned it.

Fantastic! I had a Höfner Hm80 but I dropped she down and know she has a big crack on top. Thats a few month ago but so far I haven't find a new. I play on my old yamaha.

If you really want to hear how the NS-54ce sounds, you ought to check out some of Troubleclef's vids. He also plays a Martin 000-17 all mahogany construction steel string, but I would say about half or more are played on his Taylor.

That's a beautiful song, seems like all the great tunes have been written, most new stuff out there is nothing to write home about. And he sure wrote some great classic songs, CS, before he 'went funny'. ;-)

Yeah, he did go a little funny after Teaser and the Firecat. But he didn't write this song. The words were written by Eleanor Fargeon in 1931 and were set to an old traditional Gaelic melody. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Practice, practice, practice. Watch other people. Ask questions. Take a few lessons, and then play, play, play. It helps a lot if you can sing along while you play, because that encourages you to play better. But even if you can't sing, play anyway! There are many people who can't sing that play circles around me! Don't worry that you can't play as well as the next person as long as you enjoy what you're doing. Thanks for stopping by! Yes, I have hear Rick's arrangement! It's been a source of inspiration for me through the years. As I may have mentioned before, I have almost all of Rick's audio recordings. He's one of my top ten, maybe even top five favorite guitarists! He's absolutely the best arranger of hymns for classic guitar!
