  • Hi roccaday, I am sorry I just saw your post. My dad Percy Williams passed away November 6th 2011 from a battle with terminal Cancer. My heart is very empty without him. His memory lives on and I have heard the songs you wrote. I have the cd with the songs on them. I appreciate your response. Sorry its too late to talk to him. Talk to you soon. Theresa

  • The man in the Middle in the Picture Frame is my DAD, Percy Williams Lead Singer on most of the LP. Please send prayers up for him as he battles cancer in Detroit hospitals at the age of 65. He is a Soldier for the Lord and he is fighting a strong battle. All prayers are appreciated. Theresa

another amazing song by the metros!

  • It has a Motown feel because Motown session men played on the record (on the down low!). Jack Ashford and the late Joe Hunter of Motown's Funk Brothers produced & arranged the Metros.

  • They didn't only play on the record, they produced it! They set up a secret production group called Pied Piper Productions! Berry Gordy was pissed!

  • Joe Hunter's name was the only one on the Metros record as arranger because he was a freelancer. Pied Piper Productions was Jack Ashford's company. Jack played tambourine on many Motown hits. Joe was the original keyboardist for Gordy until he quit in 1964 & was replaced by Earl Van Dyke.

  • Ashford's name appears on the record too

  • Was it on the album? I had the 45 that only referrred to Pied Piper Productions and Joe Hunter.

  • It's on the album under a few tracks and in the liner noted i'm pretty sure

  • Does have a Motown Spinners kind of sound. This was their only chart record.

  • This has since I found my baby on it right? I like that track a bit better.

  • yes, it's the second song on side one.

  • I have this album, it's pretty cool. Thank you for posting this great track!
