I think Gretchen was honored to be on the stage with such an Icon and I think Loretta thought it was hip to be in with some current big names. After all when I went to see Gretchen in 2005, she was the hottest thing in music!

If Gretchen had dressed any other way, she wouldn't have looked like herself. she's got a great voice, and they make a great team. And yes, she hasn't been around as long as loretta, but one day, she might be. the sound of the instruments in country music got really watered down. Listen to this quality compared to the quality of a lot of the other videos over this song from the past, the musicians are amazing but the over all tone really took a hit after the 80s. I really respect Jack White for bringing back really country sounds on their album
