This choreo was hella confusing because either most people were out of sync or was it purposely done like that? but it was good overall i am afraid of the competition york has to offer this year. alot of good dancers just entered other unis.
agreeeed. york was entertaining as fuck! especially since they were the new comer underdog. but choreography wise, everything was so basic. like popping, locking, foot work 101. not a complex choreo at all. but still maddd entertaining. look forward to seeing them next year

and the point of my comment was if you taught mcmaster dancers the york routine you think they could dance it ? yes now if you taught york the mcmaster routine you think they could do it? mac's choreo was MUCH more difficult than york's, true; if you gave the mac dancers york's piece, they would've killed it, yes; i strongly believe if you gave the york dancer's mac's piece, they would've done well with it. i can't guarantee they would have done AS well, but i wouldn't judge the ability of the dancers based on the difficulty of the choreo they were given -- these guys are STRONG, CAPABLE dancers!
cont. the point is the choreographer CHOSE to come with something different, something more hype, more entertaining instead of giving people 4 minutes of the SAME STUFF they'd seen from every other group... even if that meant not being as "impressive" with difficult choreo. keep in mind, we don't ALL already know how to pop, lock, break, do house, do isos, etc. it took time to learn and workshop all these different styles and, honestly... i think york KILLED it.

I go to McMaster, and I gotta say that York U was AMAZING this year!!! I was at OUCH on saturday night, and I was really impressed. I loved the concept behind the whole routine, and for first timers, you guys did an amazing job. I don't know about it being rigged, but I'm still gonna say that York was amazing.

it msut've been the music choice that clouded the judges opinion. They had the crwod from teh start with their comedy.
But I have to say they were messy, and a lot of it looked like bboy top rocking style-- whcih was not clean. But props still.
