I think it's pretty general cause I'm Ethiopian Jew and I just got threw organizing my deep freezer before I found this video. It's not so much that you're proud of being able to freeze the food as you are of unthawing it so that you preserve the texture and taste. It's an art form.
Deep freezer's are awesome. They are great for when you get good deals on meat. Women love it and so should men.
And as for freezing stuff and then serving them a half year later. As a general rule food spoils and as time goes on food decreases in tastiness. So for something to be tastey six months later is triumph. WE WIN!!
If I buy things I buy on a regular basis, in bulk, it's cheaper. But I can't eat 10lbs of chicken in a week so I have to freeze it. But then I'm going to have to cook chicken x a mount of times so if I cook it all at the same time, I only need to cook it once.
So I have my cheaper by the pound chicken cooked and frozen for an indefinite period of time waiting for me to take it out of the freezer, stick it in the microwave and eat it in 5 minutes.
Ok, I'm a huge Heshy fan. Part of the reason is because he is so dead on about some of this stuff. As a 35 year old frum mama, I can tell you his observation about our "dream" freezer being filled with frozen kugels couldn't be more right!!!! Love it. All of my friends are already Pesach cleaning and I'm ready to go insane from the silliness. Bring on the cranberry kugel!
lol. :D Women LOVE cooking. It's such a feminine thing. I'm always trying to cook something, especially something new. Next up: gluten-free hamantaschen.
I have one kid, but I (will be) in college FT plus internships. I wouldn't have time to cook! Freezers are indespensible.

@biiinyo: The guy laughing in the background is Ronen, who isn't with us anymore. His laughter is awesome, and I love hearing it.

What would you say about a Polish person who buys 16 tons of "Head Cheese" on sale and then freezes it?! lol.

Stacks of frozen meat and kugels? That is my freezer. I think it's something of humility thing. "My, what a lovely kugel!" "Oh, this old thing?"
