I know it was sarcasm. The issue I had was just that you stated "facts" sarcastically, but then maintain your own without any other possibility it seems. This is a problem I have with a lot of my fellow humans (creationists and scientists alike, not that I want to bring either of them up too much in to this debate) is that they both say "this is a fact and that is a fact and you're a dumbass if you don't agree" when in my opinion there is still a lot to learn about the animal kingdom....

Firstly, animals know when their partners die. They can go into deep depression due to psychological trauma. However, i read somewhere that the living cat did not allow anyone near it. So I guess it isn't really the passer-bys fault but the driver.

I adopted a stray cat month ago,from the street,and maaan iam in love with my "son" :).He's probably 6-8 months i guess,he sleeps with me,my girl loves him,my friends come not to check me,but to see him :))).He cleans for himself,he is so affectionate and playfull,and waits for me when i come home.That little fella put great joy in my home.I have never liked cats,iam typical dog person,but i could let him stay out cold,now i cant imagine my day without him.

That's your counter argument? The possibility that a cat could feel sad over the loss of someone it could of cared for is about 100 times more likely than an amputee's leg growing back through faith.
Why is it so utterly impossible for a cat or any animal to feel love? Why does a female cat protect her young? An Elephant cries at an Elephant graveyard. It's just as natural emotion as it is to feel angry and we know they get angry, how can love just be a feeling for only us human to comprehend?

I'm just astounded that you think animals don't have feelings/emotions, have you not read up on any studies of this? Yes they have instinct as we humans also have, and although perhaps animals may not have the same sort of understanding of them, they still have them. I've found one such article from a SCIENTIST that explains all this, but the comments section won't allow me to link you. Maybe on your profile I can...?

Firstly, animals know when their partners die. They can go into deep depression due to psychological trauma. However, i read somewhere that the living cat did not allow anyone near it. So I guess it isn't really the passer-bys fault but the driver.

@caralhoman The cat is kneading her, a behavior kittens often do with a human or another cat because it reminds them of their mother (during kittenhood kneading is used to simulate the production of milk). This is a clear indication of affection. Just because humans are horny all the time doesn't mean that everything else in the natural world is. ;)

The cat in the third video you linked to "is" humping a dead cat (I also could have gone without seeing that, thanks. lol) That behavior doesn't even remotely resemble this. It's not "mounting" the injured cat, just kneading it. And, I'm not attributing human emotion to it. Cats can display love, it's instinctual (as anyone whose been in love can attest). :) Love isn't a meta-emotion, after all.

Cats are not monogamous, no. However, although cats are generally solitary creatures, they can form bonds with other cats in a feral colony or with siblings. Two cats that are close (they might have been siblings, for all we know) would show affection.

And, yes emotion is hard to gauge in animals, obviously, because they can not talk. However, cats feel emotion on some level. That is not opinion. That is FACT. Studies have shown that the feline brain contains the same mood regulating chemical as humans, and that they are affected by medicine prescibed for human mood disorders. So yes, cats have emotions.

This is so very sad. Animals feel emotions too, just we humans sometimes don't want to concede that possibility. Some people think that we are somehow "superior" and more noble than other species because of our mistaken and incorrect belief that animals aren't capable of experiencing feelings and emotions. I think that they are, that they care able to feel fear, pain, joy, happiness, attachment, and even love in its various forms. RIP little kitty :*-(

I adopted a stray cat month ago,from the street,and maaan iam in love with my "son" :).He's probably 6-8 months i guess,he sleeps with me,my girl loves him,my friends come not to check me,but to see him :))).He cleans for himself,he is so affectionate and playfull,and waits for me when i come home.That little fella put great joy in my home.I have never liked cats,iam typical dog person,but i could let him stay out cold,now i cant imagine my day without him.

This broke my heart.. Cats will knead if they're content, but also as a comforting thing.. An extremely sick or dying cat will knead and even purr to try and comfort itself.. This is one of the saddest videos I've ever seen :*(

My cat does this to me very often, I'm told kittens do it to their mum to encourage milk production in their mum's nipple and frequently a sign that they've left their mum and other kittens before they should have (like not keeping up with the gang if they're strays)
Does seem the white/ginger cat has accepted she's dead towards the end, and if that is the case, I hope she didn't suffer :'(

this is basically i sign of affection? my cat does it to me all the time? as a kitten they do that to their mothers stomach to influence the flow of milk from the teet, and it then just sticks with them for life as a sign of affection.
