@ivlfounder. Why is this stupid? A lot of these people have criminal records and just don't want to work. They feed on the pity of people like you to give them things. I bet not one of their houses is short a huge flat screen and plenty of beer smokes and scratcher lotto tickets. WAKE UP if peoples survival depended on working you would see less of this and a stronger economy
they could have more food if they quit spending all their money at the gas station on beer and loto tickets. lots of newer cars that im guessing smell bad because we are to lazy to clean things. to busy watching that 52inch samsung to go to work. in other countries you could just die because if you don't want to help you no one else will.nothing is stopping any of thoes people from going to walmart and working but them selves.industry is gone because it was ran out they dont want to work
What a disfunctional way to distribute food aid. People have to wait in the "line of shame" in front of the whole town to get the food. They also waste gas and pollute the air as they wait with the engine running. Reminds me of why I left Logan 10 years ago.
I actually have disabled family members that go to this...and you actually have to PROVE that you make a certain income...they have regulations for it...not just anyone can go get the food...if you can't prove that you are below there set income...they don't give you food...plain and simple. And there is no good jobs in the area...that is one of the reasons I moved away! I was tired of driving to Columbus everyday for 12 or 13 dollars an hour.
What good is an agenda that is not in action? The fact that factories have moved out of the Logan area has severely affected employment opportunities. Until you are shut out of a job you have had for 30 years with no where to go, keep your mouth shut. You individuals have no idea what you are talking about. Sure, some people abuse the system, and that is horrible. However, you cannot generalize with a situation like this. Some people really do need the help. Learn your politics.
Quit bitching about not having jobs! You assholes had a mayor with an agenda to fix that problem, and guess what, you voted her out for a muffler salesman! No offense to him he was elected fairly, but he knows mufflers, not city management!
I live in Logan too and I think the line needs to be regulated. I Agree that jobs are scarce. These people are getting cheated out by these scumbags that make up stories just to get free food. My favorite part of this whole scheme is when everyone is through the line, they leave what is left right on the street so anyone can take it. Guess what is left!!!! Fruits, Vegetables, and other healthy foods.
Thanks for coming down to Logan and making us look bad!
Some of the people in line were picking up food for homebound elderly or handicapped persons living in Hocking County. Granted, there were a few Dodge Dakotas in the line, but most of those cars were simple American made cars at least five years old.
And yes, there may be a few jobs to be had in Hocking County, but the competition for those openings is fierce and there are a lot of unemployed persons in the county.
I live in Logan and I have witnessed the food line. I think its a farce. I too see all the cars and it makes me upset. I'm not upset about the hungry people. I am upset about the people who are obviously abusing the system. I can't beleive that the people in the nice cars are helping someone else. How can they be certain that they are giving food to these people to give to someone else. I beleive the food line is a good Idea, but it needs to be controlled.
you ever might think that maybe these people with nice cars may have had a job once, to pay for these cars and may have lost there job for some reasons, dont judge people, when you dont even know them, and there situation,
I live in this town and i dont no a single person actually looking for a job and cant find one. Look at the cars lined up in the video i work and make good money and these cars are better than mine. I see people pulling in there in 50,000 dollar cars saying they need help. If you want to work you can find work in Hocking county
@porno4pyros1 Seriously, I didn't see one single car in that line that cost no 50,000 dollars. Right now people are able to buy a mint condition 2000 vans by private owner for right around 2,000. If someone seriously paid 50,000 for a car, they would not be in this line, but they would be at their mansion right now.

I would think that if they wait like that, for hours, in the cold like that, they must NEED the food.
There ARE no jobs in those areas without large industry, and large industries are moving out, going to Mexico and Indonesia, etc.
If they get free food that they don't deserve, well, let's just say, they will find out that karma sux!
