You bring out 1911, I'll say 1894 and 1896. Georgia went 5-0-1 in 1894 and 4-0-0 in 1896. In 1896 we crowned ourselves champions of the SIAA. We were never bold enough to say we were the best since the northern powers had 10-15 games.

The NCAA never set rules for what can be claimed as a national championship for a school, but only when a school has finished 1st in at least 1 poll recognized nationally have they been entered into the record book. You bring out 1911, I'll say 1894 and 1896. Georgia went 5-0-1 in 1894 and 4-0-0 in 1896. In 1896 we crowned ourselves champions of the SIAA. We were never bold enough to say we were the best since the northern powers had 10-15 games.

I graduated from the University of Florida; I don't see anything wrong with what Georgia did. They knew they were going to draw a flag. If this gave them an edge psychologically then so be it. Our Gators had a crappy 2007. Tebow's athleticism got him the Heisman because he had terrible blocking the whole year. Plus this play gave FL plenty of reasons to want to stomp GA in 2008, which they did. You can understand the GA coach doing this. Ga has 3 wins in 20 years vs FL. That''s 17 losses!

the problem with what meyer did is tebow wont always be the QB, and UGA will win and rub it in. then there will be a huge fight that will end up in the stands. meyer should have had his players dance after it was 7-0. this game is only gonna get uglier and its all urban meyers fault.

maybe gator fans can explain this: it was only 7-0 after this dance, UGA gave you 55 minutes to get revenge!!! do you really need this to motivate you a whole year later?? if you were good enough you would have shut UGA down after that and not let them score again. however, you let them put up 35 more points and tebow was sacked 5 times. meyer was a pussy for calling timeouts at the end this yr. he should have done the same thing as richt. then its over, and see if UGA comes back.
