@MachoMadness OH YEEEEEEAH BROTHER!!!!! and these tools are probably just sitting at home learning other people's solos too. zakk got the ozzy gig in the first place cuz he COULD play the randy stuff as well as write his own amazing riffs.

@Sean2592 I don't know.. I'll give Ozzy a ring tomorrow and ask him. In my opinion Randy was the best guitarist Ozzy ever had, Zakk Wyle was good too and Jake E. Lee was the most underrated guitarist he ever had (I don't think he was better than Zakk or Randy from a technical point of view but he was still damn good)

I just don't see why people don't think Zakk is a talented player, man back then he was the best player on a les paul and in my opinion still is. Randy Well his name speaks for himself, and jake was talented but i'm a Wylde fan. Really even more a Dimebag Darrell fan who in my opinion will forever be the best metal guitar player, R.I.P. @iwantastrat Jake technical skills are not what cost him his job with Ozzy...as good as Jake was, he was habitually late, didn't show up for rehearsals, and basically was irresponsible in handling his own affairs. Randy Castillo and Phil Soussan's complaining, bitching and crying to Sharon about this is what led to Jake's demise...this was confirmed by Castillo himself before he passed away from cancer a few years back.
Well, there´s slight lack of tempo here (Zakk was ahead nanosecond )
in the middle of the solo (comparing it to the song on the backgound). I give nine and the half from ten. Still, I must say Zakk is one helluva guitarist.
@FubarAustria I saw Gus G live and he couldn't do the fire in the sky solo, he improvised his way around it. Zakk live never missed a note all 3 times I saw him. Gus is great but Zakk is better.
@chefmastershake Gus can definitely play it, he improvised because he probably didn't feel like it or didn't learn it.
You can watch technique videos of Gus G. playing at speeds that Zakk has never matched or using techniques that Zakk can't use, cleaner and more accurately as well. Plus, Zakks playing has gotten a lot worse ever since BLS, his 90s style is still undefeated in my books however
@FubarAustria Will do, he is a great player and the show was awesome. I just saw Zakk 8 months ago and he played perfectly and did the most insane solo I've ever heard. Seems like sobriety really helped him. I got to meet him and he's a great guy. He gained a little weight but he's playing better than ever. Honestly Ozzy always has Awesome guitarists.
@leetheshredder That's not a sandoval. Sandovals are like $5000, that's a GMW which are much cheaper and not made entirely correct. They're neck thru instead of set neck.
Zakk wouldnt be Zakk without Randy.
