  • I know you don't care for the Windows version all that much, but I would a leg to see a video of it just for nostalgia's sake. :)

  • @agoo7581 believe it or not...that might be sooner then you think....i am trying to get it work so far it will only work on a Virtual Machine, i will let you know as soon as i know i have been busy with papers and will be back when my college work is done :D

  • I think the The treasure hunt game is fun, although the animals are not really 3-D though. The aquarium one was nice to explore and know the sea animals and such.

  • @PredatorBrendan yeah but i just for some reason do believe this game was originally supposed to be 3-D

  • I know the What do I eat? Game. The surgeon fish eats Coral, barracudas eat Amberjack, octopus eats crab, Morey Ells loves Squid, Sponge eats Plankton, the Sea Urchin takes Kelp, Starfish eats Scallops and The shark loves an elephant game.

Anyway, the game is quite popular. The reference songs are good, including the French Angelfish one. My favorite movie I think is the Swellshark one because it's soundtrack.

  • @PredatorBrendan SwellShark was a cool theme i believe you requested it over 2 years ago!

  • Talk about a small world! The Mammal Theme happens to be MY favorite theme in Undersea Adventure as well!

  • @powerpup97 now that you say that it was you that requested that in your first list of music from the games, i completely forgot about that!

  • Also many of the non-zoomscape activities remind me of the activities in Microsoft Dangerous Creatures for whatever reason.

  • @LinkMarioSamus i have never playd that game but it sounds interesting

  • "Your oxygen is running out."

You can die in an educational game?

  • @LinkMarioSamus just remember the same in 3-D Body Adventure when your time runs out and the comet explostion if 3-D Dinosaur Adventure

  • @Rocky54167 Well you don't really die in 3D Body Adventure and while I suppose you have a point on 3D Dinosaur Adventure, dying from oxygen running out while underwater is just so much more realistic.

  • My best guess on the little thing sitting on the moray eel in that one photo is that it's a Cleaner Wrasse, which is named after how its diet consists primarily of other creatures' parasites. In Japan (and now many other countries), there are pools of water populated with Cleaner Wrasses that people dip their feet into so that the fish can clean them up too.

  • @LinkMarioSamus thanks for the tip however idk if that would it because it looks more like a slit if you know what i mean

  • Also on the issue of aquariums, I know that around 4% or so of the footage from the well-known documentary series "Blue Planet: Seas of Life" was filmed in aquariums. As the footage from this game is likely from documentaries that are at least a decade older, it's definitely possible - and rather likely! - that much of the footage was originally shot in aquariums.

I don't believe the White Shark movie was in an aquarium though.

  • @LinkMarioSamus the killer whale beginning i believe was shot in an aquarium but it is possible it could have been in open ocean, but when you see the rest of the movie you can tell it was in open, the spinner dolphin was defiantly in an aquarium, But then what are those bridge things in the Great White Shark movie?

  • @Rocky54167 Didn't see the bridge things. And usually when divers observe sharks from cages it's in the open ocean.

  • @LinkMarioSamus take a closer look you can see it when it goes for the meat take a real good look at it

  • Sometimes I wonder how well the Underwater Frigate theme from Metroid Prime would fit into the game.

Maybe we should try something like that, where we replace music from the KA games with music from other games. Maybe.

Also remember way back in early 2010 when I said that the stingray theme might as well be Steve Irwin's funeral theme?

  • @LinkMarioSamus yes barely i remember that coment

  • FYI the Basket Starfish is a kind of Brittle Star that first evolved during the Carboniferous Period. Fossils of the creature are extremely rare though.

  • @LinkMarioSamus i remember hearing that in 3-D Dinosaur Adventure for some reason

  • @Rocky54167 Probably the part about "Carboniferous Period" is what sounds familiar from 3D Dinosaur Adventure.

  • The opening movie reminded me of the Discovery Channel special "Chased by Sea Monsters", which was a spin-off of the popular Walking with... series - the name should say otherwise.

To provide minor spoilers, there were scenes where Nigel Marven was in a shark cage observing creatures like Dunkleosteus and Megalodon, both of which would sometimes lunge at the cage.

  • @LinkMarioSamus god good i haven;t heard that name in years i remember when he did a simliar special with giant sharks and at the end it played JAWS, but how could he be observing a megalodon whne there dead

  • @Rocky54167 The creatures in Chased by Sea Monsters were animatronic, just like the creatures in Walking with Dinosaurs. In fact, models from Walking with Dinosaurs and Walking with Beasts were reused for Chased by Sea Monsters.

Both Chased by Dinosaurs and Chased by Sea Monsters involve Nigel Marven going back in time to observe prehistoric creatures. The docu-drama series "Prehistoric Park", another Walking with... spin-off, involves Nigel actually rescuing prehistoric creatures and...

  • @Rocky54167 ...bringing them back to the present, where the creatures reside in "Prehistoric Park".

Except for some dumb reason three of the six episodes of Prehistoric Park took place in the Cretaceous, two in the Quaternary, and one in the Carboniferous. Why those decisions, I have no idea.

  • Never played this one but this always looked most interesting out of the bunch.

  • @LinkMarioSamus really i thought you had the remake of this for some reason

  • @Rocky54167 The only "Adventure series" games I ever owned were the Windows versions of 3D Dinosaur Adventure and 3D Body Adventure.
