question I understand lineArt now but how do you get the background completely white/ get rid of the picture you scanned after you were done tracing it over? Did you somehow get it to copy over to another layer? If so how you do that lol, Just a quick answer would be nice :D
@shinyshinx76 The scanned in picture is layer 1 ( Not background ). When scanning it becomes your background... Copy and paste it, and make your background layer white.
I have an alternate suggestion to color your lineart, finish your lineart layer in black and make another clipping mask layer above it I have used this technique for all of my pictures.
i luv u SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! This is my first time going into photoshop for anime cuz i usually just use ms paint but THIS REALLY HELPS!!!!!!!! Im not that great at drawing (yet ;3) but this inspires me and MOTIVATES ME!!!! THANK U!!!! SOOO MUCH!!!! BEST AND MOST SIMPLE TUTORIAL I HAVE EVER SEEN FOR PHOTOSHOP FOR LINE ART ANIME!!!!
@RawrNinjaBurgers hmm i kno what u mean its gunna be hard to explain coz i dont photoshop rite now >.<... make sure you keep holding ctrl whilst dragging your lines, also you have to be exact on the anchor point otherwise you will get that S line thing lol (forgot name of it) hope this helped =)
can you explain again how to color the lines?.... I tried clicking the 'Lock transparent pixels' (that's what I saw you click) but it wont color the lines. Pls help? By the way, I'm using PS7 and I don't use tablet either so you are kind of my mentor :-) I've seen all your videos too...
@chrno03 Well uhm... make sure your layer is set to normal and it isnt locked in any other way, all there is to it is make a line with the brush tool then lock the pixels and brush over it with a different color. And yay for non tablet'ers :D
