I am SO getting this camera! And about the shortcoming of the MP4 only format, it can be converted to MPEG so others can edit it on Windows Movie Maker, right?
MP4s can, they provide an Adobe Premere Elements CD, but when it is converted to MPEG format, the files are ten times larger than the original, and it takes forever. Otherwise, I thought ithe camera exceeded my expectations.
Well at any rate, the camera still looks phenomenal to me. :) I wouldn't care about the converting and whatnot, I'm just looking for a durable camera that takes grand pics and video.
i have a question: does it film well when not in water, like the quality and the pictures? because i ight get one but my dad is convinced it sucks if its not in water >:|
Yeah, I was impressed with the picture quality in general, land or water. I cleaned the lens every couple days to get the best picture quality. Keep in mind this is more for a casual photographer and might not hold up to professional standards.

I just took it snorkelling in Thailand, and I was very impressed with the underwater quality.

Good demo. How is the quality of the still pictures? And how is the quality of the video? (YouTube videos seem to all look the same)

The video quality is pretty good, better than can be shown on YouTube, but unfortunately is in Quicktime. The stills are nothing to complain about.
