I have to admit that I was very disappointed when "Gloria" stayed about 90 miles due E of where I lived at the time-on the coast of SE NC. We barely got gale force winds as a result of the sharp northward turn towards the NC Outer Banks. Again, great TV coverage!:)
That loop between 8:44 - 9:06 from the Hatteras radar is great. I wish there had been mobile access to radar back then... it would have made chasing so much easier...lol.
