I guess its an overarm, although its not in this vid. I can remove the arm and changer spindle in the middle and use as single play changer. Is that what you mean?
Thanks for that information. The AG1014 does sound familiar but I am not sure where I have heard of or seen that number before. There is a model number on the right hand side NG1020. Not sure if Philips changed that for the Australian market at the time. It also came with the original user manual however there is no date or model information in that either. I will try and post it up soon.
@StereoFidelity I have an Australian Philips Radiogram in near mint condition fully working exept for the cartridge in the tone arm, Do you know where and/or where I can get a new one? P.S is this a changer? because mine is the same exept it has a round ended stacking arm.
@IdontneedanIpod The cartridge as you know is built into the head unit. A new one would be rare but I have seen second hand ones come up on Ebay now and then. Yes it is a changer, the staking arm is removable as in this vid.
@StereoFidelity But could you replace the needle because What happens when the old needle wears out? All the people with this record player would be screwed.
@IdontneedanIpod Yes, in fact I suggest you replace the stylus/needle first because generally that is all that needs replacing and yes you can still buy them online. Underneath the cartridge there should be a model number. Ask the people at Soundring for the replacement model stylus. (google them) The are very helpful, will ship anywhere and for around $25.00 you cant go wrong.
Thanks Lachlant1984. I am not sure of the date exactly but I think its a late 50's early 60's build. I am with you about Mr Collins, When I did this vid the turntable still had the original stylus in it so I used a record I didnt care much about in case it caused any damage.
"You Can't Hurry Love", by Phil Collins.

When was that record player built? I know music is a matter of opinion, but I don't like Phil Collins much, but that's OK.
