This certainly woks, however only to an extent. When I use this method for Color Pass, often a small area around where I click stays the selected color, but even other places that are the same color change to black and white.

Actually, with the right footage, Chroma key and black and white effects (in that order) its very possible to simulate color pass as close as 97% on Vegas Studio Platinum. As far as I'm concerned, you have to pay the 200 some dollars to upgrade to Pro from Platinum. unless you have a large amount of paying customers, its not worth the upgrade. If you do, however, its only 200 bucks or so . . .could be made back in one project.

Deff. does not work for me. Using Vegas9a 64bit. When I pull the saturation down. Everything is black and white! Must be a 9a issue..because this is not hard to follow on your tutorial as you did a good job.

No..I have watched it 5 times..and do it exactly. If i play with the other settings I can get some color to come out. I think the problem is you need a solid color. I film paintball and the light hits the bunkers and changes the color on sections. Even tho when i pull the saturation down like you say..its all black and white then I must play with the other levels to get anything to show up, unlike your flag where the red just jumps out.

No I do not believe you can. Heck you can't even do it with some versions of Vegas, WMM is not going to have the ability to do it, unless you have a custom file written for it (XML) check the WMM website they may have it
