The TARP program was a huge mistake by both Administrations. What we should have did was eliminate the capital gains tax, slice the corporate and regular income tax rates in half, then start giving tax breaks to small businesses who hire more workers. We should have audited Fannie and Freddie and shut them down. We also should have hired someone to look into some members of Congress for illegal practices. We should have repealed the 1976 CRA. Then eliminated the Dept of Housing and Urban Dev.
