My 2 year old got diagnosised with PDD-NOS 3 weeks ago. I have looked everywhere but havent been able to find it.......does he bang his head??? or has he??? My 2yr old does this on a daily basis....he has done this for 1 year now also he has a moderate/severe hearing loss. What is the ABA therapy??? Tyson will start pre-school this September
@TiffieTube autism is really a SPECTRUM with different manifestations for each child. i do not remember jack banging his head but i do not live with him. i think his mother would say that he used to do that occasionally. it's too bad he has some hearing loss! jack has epilepsy so every child is different. aba therapy to me means praising for good behavior and ignoring bad behavior but it is easier said than done. i have been known to lose it when jack has a meltdown...sigh...but i'm trying.
It is great to see Jack triumph over an obviously frustrating train set. I may have thrown the trains against the wall if that were me. It was so painful to see him frustrated, as he is such a sweet boy. But then, he thrives more and more with every compliment!
yes i will try and post a new video.jack's made a lot of progress with ABA therapy in kindergarten, plus speech, ot, and physical therapy. we are lucky he does not need medication of any kind, also lucky that he is so interactiv and cheerful.
He talks in his own language just like my Aidan and poor baby is getting frustraited over his lining up 'order of society' on his train. They could be twins, you are very good at telling him he is doing a good job. Keep up the videos I would like to see how Jack is coming along, it will help me with Aidan he is 3 1/2. Good luck and don't let anything get you down,
super!!! you did it!!!!! you just did not give up!!!! respect....you go boy! look at his proud face in the end....great...greets from holland, amsterdam...xxx
Get some class. If you think you can use your pdd as a "right" to judge other people on the spectrum you will have a rough life a head of you. I'm 24 and on the spectrum and so is my son. I can tell you now, if I ever saw some little bratty teenage girl making fun on my son or any other kid on the spectrum, her status would change from teenage brat to humiliated teenage brat.
I hope he gets run over by a train!
