great job! being a dj, the most important thing is the trip, i mean, not the way you use technology, but the taste u do have, open and sensitive, which state you are able to create once in a place with one type of "crowd"...have to look and feel the atmosphere, and just fly enjoying =)
really cool! nice work!!... can tell you have some talent there (first song sounds like Sinead O'connor) love massive attack, tricky and the trip hop... thanks for sharing!
Listening to this for the first time and already I can easily imagine a series of scenes from a movie playing to it. Songs are never mixed for soundtracks and I can't imagine why not.
you got people on the radio all day long who call themselves djs and cant mix 1 record 2 the next and it dont have to mean scratching either prefer to hear the music
wat is a dj if he cant scratch??? then again wat is a dj if they dont use vinyl??? digital dj equipment = for ppl who wanna pretend to be djs. great music but dont try to be somethin ur not
This is a mix of massive attack and portishead you moron.... only the opening portion is the original...i actually prefer your remix of portisheads buscuit to the original version...great work man you definatly have potential...i listen to this track all the time while im training kickboxing...
thats abs. Great, never such a thing belongs and I finds the absolute property. I cry only, so good find I that! and where I the absolute Zappa Freak I am!!!!!
The greatest thing about a career in music is that while other artists are selling out, the more and more you pour your heart and soul into it, the more people notice.
top notch mate, u dont need any advice...been mixin trip hop and dub for ten yrs and u made me smile. all keys matched, no obvious cuts and u chose the tracks WELL, great flow to it all. well done
cool mix dude love ur sound, i kno it short but cant fault it, only way to improve would b to throw sumthin creative in there,ur mixin is sweet i kno but if u wanna stand out show sum natural talent and dont b afraid to try sumthin different, n if ppl dont like it they can go f*!% em selves, this how i does things anyway,,,good luck wish u all the best
i'm going to be honest here- the track selection was nice, but the mixing was all over the place- a lot of it was unharmonious, the levels were off, or transitions were too sharp
a chill out mix should be just that- chilled out. I know it's hard for me to give an unbiased opinion since I DJ myself , but you'd have to be stone deaf to not notice that transition into teardrop
Wow, I get a "duh" button. I just read that you lost this file- now I'm sad and get a duh button. Please make something else this pretty :)....like Rasa Mello: Desire
I don't think I can be totaly honest until you send me a copy of this mix and several other works of yours. ;) It's awesome- I really do wish I had a disk of your mixes (if they are all this good). Very smooth, excellent blending and matching. Like liquid silk. Thanks for posting! ~Izzie
just found this video today, pretty damn good. i like the chill-ness factor. btw, how come your vid is 16 minutes long when youtube only allows 10 minutes?
YouTube has begun to allow very long movies, I think it goes over 2 hour. Loos at the American presidential debates, they're all over one hour long. Most of them anyway.
put between the 1st song and the part of - i think it is angel from massive attack - i would try to mix the end from the 1st song and the start from angel .... but like this it's still awsome.
Thank you for making this. Already making it good! You have ear - to make YOUR original musik. But for now ....go in some clubs lokal - get gig even with no money - watch your audience and learn is turning them on or not - then you have the senses of many to show you that you are DJ. Rest taking care of itself. Just don't get married : )
That was an amazing Massive Attack/Portishead compilation! I really love those groups, so I know the songs inside out, too.. Check out my 10 min Trip Hop mix too, I think you'll like it :)
Very nice mixing dude, top quality - Nonetheless I'm afraid DJ'ing is going to limit the potential of entire generation of new musicians. If that's what you can do with other people's music, imagine what you can make yourself?
Pick up a synth and get a drum machine - or even better, a real drummer and do this stuff yourself. There's enough music production software for free on the net to help you. This is what you know...imagine what you don't.
I dedicate my life to experiences...and this is a mix i could definately have some to....deep it up!! I would like to hear the music tell a story though, maybe a build up, climax, extacy then serenity(just a thought).
