@Gordygoo12 my first language is Spanish so I wouldn't be surprised that she sounds like she has an accent. My English when I'm speaking I consider it to be pretty good so I've improved her English since this video, however there are simply some sounds I can't record because of my native tongue so the accent will always be there though I don't mind :P
no. For the word amazing she actually says a/mei/si/n those are the syllables I recorded. You can download her voicebank (the link is in my channel) if you want to see how I recorded the syllables.
oh ...wow.... i think these to your voice bank will help you a bit..... nga, ngi, ngu, nge, ngo. if she were to pronounce 'singing' she won't pronounce it sing-ging instead si-nging
it's not so easy since having consonants at the end tend to be lost when making the songs. She does have the 'g' and 'n' sounds alone and usually people dont pronounce the word singing with the last g (in a song) they just go singin' she would pronounce it as si/n/gi/n. It's all a matter of how you place the notes and string them together.
The beginning was good; it's tough to make UTAUs sing good in English if they're made for Japanese. As the song progressed, though, I just heard gibberish and some words. Good job overall. 5/5.
I understand what you mean xD usually I attribute that to the fact that most people already know the beginning of the song so they "think" they understand her well at the beginning lol. She was made to be able to sing in English though (with a lot of tweaking), just not separate words per se as that would take forever and be really hard.
Question: did you record Japanese-like syllables or actual words? I'm considering to make my Utau bilingual so she can sing English too (might even add Dutch for fun), but I'm not sure how to do it.
recording words isnt very helpful as you will never have a complete bank so I recorded Japanese syllables and added extra syllables like "grei" and an "s" to make the word "grace". Basically I recorded the sound and saved it in a way that I would remember with the spanish(or japanese) pronounciation instead of the phonetic alphabet. And Camila can pronounce three different types of "r" xD
Actually I don't even have 400 files recorded yet xD but I sometimes do add one or two files for new songs so yeah you might never really be completely done but you can at least finish the japanese syllables first
thank you! I'm working hard on making the voice bank be able to sing in all three languages xD although her Japanese might not be the best considering I don't know how to speak it lol
You're UTAU Camila has inspired me to make my UTAU sing in my native tongue. Spanish and English

oh and btw ocasionally I might have to add another syllable for other songs.
gaticaeitan 2 years ago
That's more or less what I figured myself. The only problem I see with this is that I'll have to record a lot and might never really be done.
