I do understand the essence of boxing. When you say you are the best, you dont try find a lot of reasons not to fight the best. He had ducked a lot of opponents, Kosta Tszyu, Baldomir, Hatton, Mosley and now Pacquiao. But believe me I do admire PBF's skill in boxing, its just that he doesnt want to be defeated. For those that think that Mayweather is boring I can only guess that perhaps they do not understand the subtle nuances that a master boxer brings to a bout. It is like a punk rocker listening to Mozart and saying it is boring.

Pernell Whitaker is in the boxing hall of fame for being one of the best defensive fighters ever. He did a lot of "running" (as you put it) but yet he's still consider an all time great. Boxing isn't about trading punches and find out who gets hurt the fastest. Its about hitting and NOT GETTING HIT. Why would someone stand in front of their opponent and get hit? What's the logic behind that?

"Sweet Science" is not exactly the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about great boxing... not in the case of a total fighter that risks more and wins anyway. Floyd does have great boxing skills. He has the best defence that i've ever seen, but i hate fighters that are satisfied by winning by decision. Floyd just defends and runs at the end cuz he knows he's ahead in points. I love it when fighters go at it til the last bell. Get the KO instead. That's why DLH lost to Trinidad during their fight...He ran around at the end..
