Listen closely between 1.29 and 1.30 (through headphones would be good). I heard what i interpred as a human voice.Of course it could have been extraneous noise fron the camera mechanism or an annoucement from a Tannoy speaker somewhere in the distance informing visitors about something or other. Not sure if such a thing exists there but whatever it is sounds strange nevertheless....
I notice there is no birdsong etc here.Indeed, the silence seems very audible! This obviously is not a place to linger especially after sunset.Even filtered through a YT upload I can sense the poisonous atmosphere.I've read that paranormal events have occured at Auschwitz.A woman heard a disembodied voice saying PLEASE and LEAVE in Polish at one time apparently and someone who visited the childrens section reported feeling a pair of small hands suddenly clutching theirs
@llewesa100 There is a myth that there is no bird song here but it is untrue. I have heard birds singing whilst at Auschwitz. Perhaps though there is less here than in other places but it is very difficult to make a comparison.
@alanheath Having said that, this was filmed on 15 August 2008 and one would have expected a bit of bird song at the height of summer on a really nice day.
@alanheath Paranormal phenomena is an interest of mine and I always keep an open mind about these things that I have mentione d here. How much of it is due to prior knowledge, suggestion and human imagination I'm not sure. However I do believe tha terrible and violent events such as what happened here do leave a resonance and occasionally they are PLAYED BACK so to speak. They usually manifest themselves on photographs ,recording devices so who knows?
@llewesa100 My interpretation of anything paranormal is that it is that - paranormal. I think that there is a logical explanation for everything although often people prefer to believe in ghosts, UFOs etc...
@alanheath Lately I've had the feeling that maybe something should be done with the Auschwitz site.Maybe demolish some of the remaining barracks and buildings and building some sort or memorial garden or erecting a marble sculpture commemorating the victims and giving them some sort of dignity.Obviously maintaining a visitors centre or museum is imperative.I've never been here and maybe this has been acheived in its own way but something different to what is here at the moment.Ugly;disturbing.
@alanheath On second thoughts I've just looked at various uploads about Auschwitz on here and I think what I've suggested has been achieved and I'll have to revise my opinion.I would like to see it for myself one day in order to make a proper judgment;draw my own conclusions.I know its not meant to be presented to people as some ghoulish exhibition and I think the bravest people of all are those who survived and have returned here and told people what happened appearing on Tv etc.
I suspect this the same place that the pictures of bodies being burnt were taken from? The pictures I am thinking of look like they were taken through a doorway.
In one reconstruction picture I have there is part of a wall and doorway and the location of the camera is shown.
Have excavations ever been carried out at this site similar to the ones done at Belzec.

Mr. Heath, can you explain why 2 direct eyewitnesses claimed the cremation pits were in completely different places. Filip Mueller claimed they were in the yard of KV while Nysizli claimed they were outside Birkenau by a distance of 500 yards. Which is it?
In 1942 KV had not been built but was used for burning bodies in 1944. Corpses were burnt in the meadow to the rear of the white house from October 1942.

@llewesa100 I can't agree with you on that one. I think it needs to be left as it is.

If we are thinking of the same thing then it was not here but around 600 metres further back near Krematorium V.
