and destabilizing our economy
free trade a good thing only to the companys who ship us materials overseas to have cheap labour then ship the products back at half the price
And that recommendation (Paul's) is enough for me to make sure he never makes the white house.
Workers rights must remain as long as the state still exists. Social programs need to be funded better, not eliminated. You right-wing libertarians act like people are "living the life" in welfare when life is shit under welfare plus stats show people never stay on it for over a year.
ah bite me, commie freak. CIA's the largest financier of Chomsky via RandCorp& trust grants that go to pentagon funded MIT programs. ur such a sheep. frankly I dnt give a damn abt chomsky. he's irrelevant. anyone who lashes out against AmEmpire his entire prof career, only 2 ridicule someone like Michael Parenti, who questioned official govt versions on both JFK & 911, is a hack. what good is an academic worth, when he refuses to question 2 biggest govt cover-my-ass, pet on the back commissions?
Chomsky's criticism of the whole 9/11 thing was that:
1) The activists of that don't devote their time on other issues more important than 9/11 like poverty in the U.S., injustices by various states around the world against working people, etc.
2) If such a thing was planned by Bush and company, it would have leaked. You needed SO MANY people to keep such a thing quiet and believing this shows that you all don't know how states operate.
3) If 9/11 was planned to make an excuse to convince everyone to go to war with Iraq, why make 19 of the 21 highjackers Saudis??? Wouldn't it have made more sense to make them Afgan and Iraqi???? Why risk people seeing that Saudi's did it, which could have led to the people wanting to attack Saudi Arabia? The U.S. and Saudi Arabia are and have always been CLOSE ALLIES. If the U.S. gov had made 9/11 and had made 19 of 21 terrorist Saudi, wouldn't that risk their relationship with Saudi Arabia????
4) He states that the truth movers miss the big picture...and that's capitalism and the state. Most states act like mafias and 9/11 was just the result of the U.S. state pushing the middle eastern people around for decades. This is just the result of the U.S. foreign policy.
5)Finally he asks a good question to the 9/11 truth movers..."What their alternative?". They don't give one.
If Paul is that alternative, then I say "hell no". We are poor enough here in the inner city.
wouldn't you support his abolishment of the 'war on drugs' the most racist gov't programme, and the rescinding of the patriot act? Also the social security reform is long-term, no-one's gonna be left on the streets he's gonna cut spending overseas to deal even more efficiently on those who are dependant. You really don't understand his positions properly, you also need to grasp how the economy works and the forecast isn't great
A completely free-market makes it worse. Why do you think the ruling class dumped that a long time ago???
Also while I would love to end the "war on drugs" and the patriot act gone, I would not do it in sacrifice of labor laws and the efforts of the labor movement. Also the social programs that help the poor are good and need to stay so long as the state and capitalism exists. If it wasn't for those social program, I wouldn't have survived childhood.
Do the ruling class care about the freedom and prosperity of the majority or the preservation of their power base. Truly free-trade is never practised because some very powerful people would be under-cut. It is a lot more complex + there is a valid argument for centralised programmes, question is how etc
well no thats not an argument against the 9-11 conspiracy. in fact this is an argument for the 9-11 truthers. let me explain. Had the Bush admin. put forth 19 Iraqi citizens, or 19 Afghani citizens the respective states could easily prove the US to be setting them up. What the Bush admins. needed was 19 Arabs whose national government wouldnt question the identites of the alleged terrorists.
Also it is true that the pentagon funds many things at MIT but what does that have to do with Chomsky's work??? His work (if you read it) has made the state look like the murdering mafia they are.
And Chomsky is a libertarian socialist. In other words, his thinking comes from anarchist and left marxist thought.
Also Chomsky never "ridiculed" Michael Parenti. They just disagree on the conspiracies.
Saudi Arabia being an ally is the optimal choice. It would only make sense that most of the hijackers have a saudi background. As for the chance of going to war with Saudi Arabia, that would have been highly unlikely. The US has installed their puppets in Saudi Arabia. It would be like the US invading Puerto Rico. Whats make sense is that 9-11 would be fed through the propaganda machine and thus create political myths which would be used to create a feeling of revenge against "them" mainly Arabs
Revelation 6:1-6 ...when the Lamb opened one of the seals...I heard...the NOISE OF THUNDER...and he went forth conquering, and to conquer...and power was given to him...to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword...and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand...And I heard a voice "A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the OIL..."
I once caught a live feed of Saddam Hussein speaking. It translated live as "People of Iraq lay down your swords. Satan has arrived and he cannot be fought with the sword. America must be fought with wisdom". An hour later it was rebroadcast as "Take up your swords...". I've wanted to learn that language since..I don't believe anything on TV anymore
Maybe Mr. Chomsky should whack Amy Goodman on the head, and get her to start giving Ron Paul - the only real peace candidate - some decent coverage on "Democracy Now!" (or is it "Democrats Now!" ?)
Noam disagrees strongly with RP's social and economic policies. They agree on foreign policy but disagree on how to be libertarian. Form RP it means free markets, for noam it means freedom from both business and state interests. He has written about RP chomsky on Znet.
If it wasn't for Americans unknowingly funding the Third Reich, Hitler wouldn't of happened in the first place! You can thank the Federal Reserve for that! Let's also not forget that Prescott Bush, G.W.'s grandfather, was a huge Nazi supporter. That is where the Bush family got their first million!
hitler was actually a threat since he was going around conquering ohhh.... all of europe. saddam is dead, iran hasn't conquered anyone. we are creating our own problems.

Listen to the interview with Imran Khan, Democratic Opposition Leader in Pakistan, on Democracy Now ( or youtube )Wed, Jan. 30. Talks about the immoral, tyrannical stupidity of American Foreign Policy - that it in actuality OPPOSES Democratic peoples movements overwhelmingly around the world.
You have a choice - the only true anti-war choice is Congressman and physician Ron Paul.
Why do you people put this inappropriate, overly loud and pointless music on these important videos? Its a complete distraction - replace it without music if you want to make a point, or choose music that works and that is low in the mix!

You guys know that Noam Chomsky would never support Ron Paul right???
Chomsky is a libertarian socialist....Paul is a right wing free market libertarian.
I want the Ron Paul freaks to stop trying to act all "left-wing" to try to get people with "left" feelings over to your side

The Chomsky quote is a good one and should be supported on it's merit alone.
The politics of left vs. right are there to divide and conquer.
United for Paul!
