This is a beautifull song in my opinion, i think one of the reasons it got 0 points was the weak lead vocals by Finn. He seems nervous and is out of pitch on some of the notes, and that leaves a bad first impression.

Tror problemet med mange av de norske bidragene var fremførelsen med storband og backup kor. Enkelte av bidragene passet rett og slett ikke stilen de skulle presse dem inn i.

did he got so bad rating? what rating did he actually get? btw it is not that weird, this is a very national-song.. the song is awesome in norwegian, but he is not a VERY good singer(its not the best vocal ever right?!) so the song is much better for us that actually understands what he sings:)

Finn Kalvik represented his home country Norway but his record contract was with Swedish Polar Music. Kalvik recorded his first Polar album at the end of 1979. Benny Andersson was producer and Agnetha & Frida background singers on several songs.

I remember only this song of that year, not even the dutch song.

The soft, sad and nice melody still plays in my mind sometimes,

OK, it wasn't a winner (that should have been Johnny Blue or Io senza te) but it sure deserved better than Nul Points! I personally had it 6-7-8th spot or thereabouts.

I'm reading a great book at the moment- 'Nul Points' about ESC entrants who got no points. Finn was pretty embittered about this. Add the 'Finn Kalvik News' on a weekly comedy show and the experience nearly destroyed him.
