In terms of sheer athletic ability, sure LBJ is better. But as an overall player, Jordan runs circles around him. To quote Bill Burr, it's like that song Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix. If you're lined up behind the 3-point line during a free-throw, you can't pass the free-throw line (extended) until the ball hits the rim. The same goes for the shooter. Only the players lined up on the blocks can enter the lane after the shooter releases the ball. If it wasn't a lane violation, why wouldn't every player try this on every foul shot?
