  • the movie is sad ofc. But of some reason i just start crying ! really crying but i don know what im crying about. i dont think im unhappy. its so cary :(

  • That girl that Sam gave the house away to was the one Sam's grandfather hit and killed her mom.

  • @Onlymaybe7 how do you know that

  • @sharmaine24 Because she's in a wheel chair, and Sam father said that's the one thing that he can never forget. So Sam giving the house to her was what his father would have wanted.

  • i cried i cried i cried some more went to my room cried to my pillow hugged my teddy and cried some more movie is a big favorite my goodness im going to cry again thank you Hayden Christensen for sharing some of your gift and inputting it to this movie thank you OK bye i have to go cry :(

    :)

  • *cries* i love what he did the house.

  • This part maks me cry everytime. When we find out why he was building the house to begin with... there are 10 people who need a serious pimp slap upside the head for disliking this.

  • If it is me I will keep the house and either give it out for rent or live in it, depends.

  • the ending gives me goosebumps

  • @ SamJP3 the last song was a book before becoming a movie. Nicholas Sparks did not write his book based on this movie. It's not a rip off... it's just really similar

  • WOW you are AWESOME, Thank you so much for posting this movie I know I'm late lol but I really enjoyed the entire movie. 8-) Where can I find this movie!?!?!?

  • the last song seems to have copied this movie....I LOVE THIS ONE WAYYY MORE!! <3

  • They needed to get a close shot of Hayden's face when his mom came to tell him his father died. His face is so expressive!

  • @1221Alice I know right?!

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWW.... wtf he died........... :(

  • omg i loved it soo much*(:

  • i always cry when i watch this because it has such a beautiful ending <3

  • amazing movie<3

  • I really need to get this on DVD. I kinda winced when he gave up the house, but I look at it as the house would still be in Sam's life since he was so generous in giving it to the girl and I'm sure the two of them would be a part of each other's lives from then on.

  • poruszający..piękny

  • oh... now i am a cry baby...

  • This is by far my favourite movie

I've watched it so many times that I've lost count and I never get tired off it

  • antransd...to answer your ?

The "29 years ago", referred to the car wreck when George's father crossed the center line, while driving drunk and killed a mother and crippled her little girl for life. So that's why Sam felt he needed to give her the house. Sam's father always felt he needed to do something to make up for the terrible thing his father had done to this little girl.

  • Loved the movie but the son really coulda kept that house... thats the only part I didnt like but overall.. Great family Movie!

  • great movie, beautiful story, but i am Vietnamese and i don't understand what they talk at the end of the film, can you tell me ? in the end what did Sam do ?? why is 29 years ago ??

  • @antransd George (Sam's Dad) left the house to Sam in his will. When George was younger and before Sam was born, his dad was drunk driving and hit a young woman which caused her to spend the rest of her life in a wheel chair. Sam decides at the end of the movie to give the house to her because he thinks it's what his father (George) would have liked.

  • saddest movie ever :(

    but l love it !

  • it's amazin sam goes from a normal depressed guy to a man who does the right thing

  • Thanks so much for sharing this movie with us!

  • this movie is amazing, cried so much when i first watched it. I like to watch this to remind myself that to at least some extent Hayden can actually act, because he's wonderful in this. And Kevin Kline never fails to impress.

  • It's amazing how one of the last lines of a film, said so quietly can set you off so much. Though I thought this movie was very sweet, I didn't think it would make make me cry, but in that 2nd to end scene, hearing: "My father built you a house" I just lost it!! :( :( :( What a great film! Films like this make me feel stronger or, like i have grown inside.

  • best movie ever.. i just found it because i was searching for hayden C. but OMG i think i just died.. this movie made me cry like a baby.. cant stop crying right this second :D i love u hayden!

  • good ending

  • well , now i'm sad.

  • LOL at Ian Somerhalder, the cougar-bait pimp.

  • "29 years ago, my father crossed a double line...changed my life, and the life a little girl forever...with that mistake...I just can't stop thinking about her."

  • i love this movie it's full of emotions i cried, what i normally don't do during a movie.

    <3

  • It's really hard to find a movie that has a strong under lying message that doesn't consistantly preach it.

This has always been one of my favorite films, it has such an important message but is portrayed in a unique and metaphorical way.

  • WOW

I loved it im fucking crying here. so sad and heart warming. when ian somerhalder's charcter fell off the roof i laughed, that was funny cuz hes like "oh shit george found out im doing alyssas mom." and when sam went to alyssas house in the middle of the night and cried on the stairs i almost died.
