their love resembles our Kanuni Sultan Süleyman and Hürrem Sultan. just one point that Kanuni did not kill Hürrem just because of a lie. Henry acts like a child, believes whatever is told to him...such a pitty...
please, someone can tell me the name of this song? I thing if it could be Trebor Morris?but I don´t know the song´s name. Please I´m in love of that sound...I need to know it.
@enimis94 Thank you so much!,but I think this tittle maybe can be about the film´s chapter but I´m not sure.I found another title called "An Historic love".
All the characters had good sides and Evil sides. That's what made the Tudors fantastic is that no character got away with being purely an innocent saintly perfect hero, nor were any of the characters complete villains.
apart from anne of a thousand days this was the only time i ever liked wosley, specially with that prayer it was so beautiful so honest! and i'm sorry but i've always loved anne! say what you want bout her but she was defiant and she sacrificed her life so her daughter would be queen! i dont know allot of mothers who would do that!!
@MrGimo123 Only Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard lost their heads. Catherine of Aragon died of the poison, Jane Seymour died of child birth fever. Catherine Parr, his last wife, was the only one that has survived him and probably that`s just because he died before he could get the chance to get tired of her and orderd her death. So, the picture in the video isn`t related to the fact that they lost their heads, but to the fact that all five of them died during his lifetime.
@awer137 i just watched that episode!! it was horrible, i came straight here to find the music. somehow i still can't hate henry, after everything he's done. (HATE jane, fuck that bitch)
@knightsintodreams true but anne did sumthin worse than that and she even thought of killing mary....but watever it is i luv anne...i cant help it too dude
@lookshidy more than everything, I think Wolsey was a character that you at first disliked due to his scheming ways, but not until he's gone did you realise that he wasn't all that bad in the end.
@TheMasterSpark I agree. Wolsey was one of those Characters that you did hate but only did he slit his own throat and during season 2 did you miss Wolsey.
i will always associate this beautiful piece with anne and henry in the forest in the end of the last episode of season 1. amazing scene and perfect music.
This beautiful piece of music compliments the performance of Sam Neill so perfectly. And the other way round. Its very addictive and I keep listening to it.
mmm, yes exactly, but i think it is only a continuation of the music theme, like in harry potter, etc. where the music is similar, but changed slightly sometimes to reflect a different mood.
I never much cared for Wolsey's character in the show but if ever I saw a moment that made a monster into a human being, this scene was it. Felt like I just got kicked in the stomach--and perhaps deservedly so.
I had seriously never heard of the tudors. But when my sister was watching it and i was playing a game, i left the game to listen to this music, it was beautiful so i searched it on youtube and now i'm here!
It's a masterpiece, I've always been into music, but when i hear this, i immediatly want to create a soundtrack myself!
@coasal You are absolutely right! I was trying to pinpoint what piece of music this reminds me of....you're absolutely right by saying it reminds you of "The Kiss" from LOTM!!

@Nuramon That's what made it so heartwrenching. Everyone else is happy and dancing to THIS. Celebrating his downfall and finally, his death. It's a powerful song and paired with his dialogue, absolutely beautiful.
@coasal yes totally! i thought that the very first time i heard it, as well as "a historic love", which is pretty similar. glad i'm not the only one who caught that. last of the mohicans was the first soundtrack i fell in love with. :)

Very nice! I love this track, it is very powerful. but is it just me or is it a bit different from the one used in the actual scene? In the actual scene you can hear a higher pitched violin (?) in the background.
@Carnivoure12 The soundtrack is used two times: when Wolsey commits suicide and at the end of season 2. So maybe the composers slightly edited one of them.
The track "A Historic Love" sounds very similar to this one, and may be the one you are thinking of. It has a higher-pitched melody like the one you described.
Love this song and the scene and this serie ! I'm looking for the song in season 1 episode 8 when we can see Wolsey, Catharine of Aragon and the others preparing themselves and going in the trial. Can somebody help me please ?

a family friend worked behind the scenes of the tudors, Special effects i think. Jonathan was drunk most of the time and very difficult to work with apparently, its a shame, hes a brilliant actor.
its played when he commits suicide, a little bit later in the same episode (1x09) when anne and henry have sex... and again in the last episode of the second season after anne's execution
well, the underlying music is a bit similar to the track from Last of the Mohicans...it's an underlying 6/8 time...so the similarity would be rather marked...as well as the beat :) Other than that the tunes do seem to differ a good bit
This is from the scene where Henry and Anne do it for the first time in the garden and where Wolsey slits his throat. Its in the end of the 1 season 10th episode
If you visit my account, you can find a 8 part wolsey tribut (every weekend a new part), where you can follow his downfall, i cutted the scenes so that it is like an own short serie of him, with music from tudors and some orchetstres in the background.. i would look forward if you watch them,... or search for Wolsey´s regency...
i just finished season 3. i keep coming back to this. AWESOME AWESOME show. can't believe today some guy said "huh? tudors? never even heard of that. wanna watch a historic drama watch Spartacus"
I don't understand why so many people hate anne boleyn. I think that in the show she's one of the best characters. Maybe Natalie Dormer is just a really good actress.
@BettyBoopIsMe94 I have nothing against the historical figure, and I think Natalie Dormer plays her amazingly. She's a very complex character...at times I did hate her and at times I loved her. But I love Katherine Of Aragon more, so I always held something against her because of poor Katherine haha.
@BettyBoopIsMe94 I don't think many people hate Anne Boleyn, she is the best queen and in the Tudors is the best character. People love Anne Boleyn and hate Henry VIII.
Oh don't hate Anne Boleyn. You should read the Joanna Denny's biography of her. Don't believe the Tudor myths about her. She was a strong, clever woman who may have been the figure who started the dissolution of the monasteries. As for the soundtrack, it's truly amazing and I must buy it.
This is longer and bit more dramatic than Historic Love, which though similar, runs shorter and is more romantic.
THIS version of it makes me cry, that whole scene made me cry. Wolsey wasn't always the best person, but just his utter dejection and the way people were just mocking him and laughing while he killed himself (they didn't know he was doing that, but interspersion was heart-wrenching) . . . I bawled! :*(
@KaraStarbuckNY dont worry u cried to i hated Wolsey up until he was saying to god he knows what he deserves and doesnt expect anything. i regretted hating him after his speech.
"The last of the Mohicans" (composer Trevor Jones) actually was the antetype for this theme of Trevor Morris.
Both of the pieces are powerful crescendi written in d-minor, 4-4-time + are very similar constructed and orchestrated. Only the chords are different:
"Mohicans": d | C | F | C | d
"Tudors": d | a | C | g | a
Although Trevor Jones is my favorite composer, I must confess: This Tudors-Song of T. Morris is better then the antetype! Overwhelming!
their love resembles our Kanuni Sultan Süleyman and Hürrem Sultan. just one point that Kanuni did not kill Hürrem just because of a lie. Henry acts like a child, believes whatever is told to him...such a pitty...

The ending scenes were absolute perfection ^^. Haven't seen the last two seasons, but if they're anything like the first two, they'll be great ^^

@IdentityUnknown89 i agree! Queen Katherine was the TRUE Queen of England. But alas, no sons from her... and henry got pissed and desparate.

@BettyBoopIsMe94 I don't think many people hate Anne Boleyn, she is the best queen and in the Tudors is the best character. People love Anne Boleyn and hate Henry VIII.

i just finished season 2 on DVD. i was beginning to really hate Anne, but when she died i felt so, so very sorry for her. the poor thing...
can't wait till season 3 (have that). i HATE anne's father SO MUCH.

"Mohicans": d | C | F | C | d
"Tudors": d | a | C | g | a
Although Trevor Jones is my favorite composer, I must confess: This Tudors-Song of T. Morris is better then the antetype! Overwhelming!

This excites me. It makes me feel as if I need to climb into a saddle and ride off into the sunset...or something along those lines! ^^
