  • their love resembles our Kanuni Sultan Süleyman and Hürrem Sultan. just one point that Kanuni did not kill Hürrem just because of a lie. Henry acts like a child, believes whatever is told to him...such a pitty...

  • this music is so nice, I keep listening over and over again. it reminds me of the tragedy of Anne. Greetings from TURKEY.

  • please, someone can tell me the name of this song? I thing if it could be Trebor Morris?but I don´t know the song´s name. Please I´m in love of that sound...I need to know it.

  • @lamusic12341234 The composer is Trevor Morris, and the song is called Wolsey commits suicide (final), you can find it on Itunes

  • @enimis94 Thank you so much!,but I think this tittle maybe can be about the film´s chapter but I´m not sure.I found another title called "An Historic love".

  • I am so much in love with these series.

  • whts the story of this tv series ???

  • this just reminds of me of anne boleyn riding henry in the woods haha

  • Pour Toi de Moi <3 ;-)

  • All the characters had good sides and Evil sides. That's what made the Tudors fantastic is that no character got away with being purely an innocent saintly perfect hero, nor were any of the characters complete villains.

  • apart from anne of a thousand days this was the only time i ever liked wosley, specially with that prayer it was so beautiful so honest! and i'm sorry but i've always loved anne! say what you want bout her but she was defiant and she sacrificed her life so her daughter would be queen! i dont know allot of mothers who would do that!!

  • This music is... so fiery, so wild, so free, so sad, so beautiful, so... EPIC.

  • The Borgias was better.

  • This series was so amazing. I wish they continued the series and kept going with the story of Mary and Elizabeth.

  • @peckawood i was told the same producer did a movie about her life as a queen after those series in 2007

  • I actually liked Wolsey, but most of all, I loved the prayer he said while this track was playing. It was so... real, so clear and so beautiful...

  • muito ispirador essa musica

  • A un talentueux compositeur : Merci Mr Trevor Morris . Votre musique est magistrale, incroyablement belle, elle nous transporte....Quel bonheur !!!!!

  • I WANT CELLO VERSİON

  • Actually I think Anne of Cleves also outlived him, they were divorced though

  • @tgmanuel0. I hope you don't assume that everyone speaks english. do you.

  • Back to the court! Queen of England! Please back to the court !!!

  • Just saw this episode... Almost cried... And this amazing music defiently helped! Love it...

  • I love the way all the ladies have lost their heads!

  • @MrGimo123 Only Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard lost their heads. Catherine of Aragon died of the poison, Jane Seymour died of child birth fever. Catherine Parr, his last wife, was the only one that has survived him and probably that`s just because he died before he could get the chance to get tired of her and orderd her death. So, the picture in the video isn`t related to the fact that they lost their heads, but to the fact that all five of them died during his lifetime.

  • @crsmoni Anne of Cleves outlived him too

  • while listening to this I always remember the scene where Anne Boleyn was about to die whereas Henry was eating the swan...

  • @awer137 Maybe that's because it's the same music at the finale of season 1 (Wolsey's death) and season 2 (Anne's death) ;)

  • @nicolasnagy yeah. you're right!

  • @awer137 i just watched that episode!! it was horrible, i came straight here to find the music. somehow i still can't hate henry, after everything he's done. (HATE jane, fuck that bitch)

  • @knightsintodreams why do u hate jane, she is so sweet, gracious and very elegant though anne boleyn is my favourite

  • @lovelyprittygirl oh because i feel like she disrupted anne and henry's happiness. haha i can't get passed it

  • @knightsintodreams true but anne did sumthin worse than that and she even thought of killing mary....but watever it is i luv anne...i cant help it too dude

  • awesome..,just awesome

  • Increible cancion

  • una gran serie que estoy descubriendo tarde pero mejor que nunca

  • good lord, English so everyone can understand

  • amazing peice of music!! <3333

  • El compositor es TREVOR MORRIS y el nombre del tema es " AN HISTORIC LOVE" simply wonderfull !

  • love this song!!

  • wooh its amazing !!

  • SERIE IMPRESIONANTE!!!!

  • @Sevearien then you should watch it ;)

  • wolsey was one of the characters that you love and hate at the same time...

  • @lookshidy more than everything, I think Wolsey was a character that you at first disliked due to his scheming ways, but not until he's gone did you realise that he wasn't all that bad in the end.

  • @TheMasterSpark I agree. Wolsey was one of those Characters that you did hate but only did he slit his own throat and during season 2 did you miss Wolsey.

  • i will always associate this beautiful piece with anne and henry in the forest in the end of the last episode of season 1. amazing scene and perfect music.

  • beautiful....

  • Wolsey didnt comit suicide in real life, He died of a broken heart while on his way to see the King, even more sad

  • @NemesisMarine01 He died on the way to the tower - suspected of poison. Even more sad!!

  • @dramaqueen7777777 Oh was it to the tower ?, ahh well u learn somit everyday

  • i like the way how the picture has all the ladies with no heads :)

  • @mrdenden1000 same! but i wish there was six ladies behind him instead of five, would make more sense :)

  • I like this music it makes want to square dance with uncle charley

  • This beautiful piece of music compliments the performance of Sam Neill so perfectly. And the other way round. Its very addictive and I keep listening to it.

  • i love this piece and can not stop listening to it

  • king henry the 8th i am i am, king henry the 8th i am

  • Please help me! I can't stop hearing this piece!!

  • such a hard decision he made n many of us have to make it we must sacrifice our own for our own

  • I don't know if anyone has posted this yet but in reality Wolsey did not kill himself. I think he got sick and died. Great music though

  • I am the only one to think that but...Did you notice that this song was quite close to "historic love" ?

  • @MarinaMaxwellYuy

mmm, yes exactly, but i think it is only a continuation of the music theme, like in harry potter, etc. where the music is similar, but changed slightly sometimes to reflect a different mood.

  • @frances111393 okay

  • @MarinaMaxwellYuy Didn't know about those "movies" on Youtube... I watch the Tudors usually online on Megavideo, and other films go for download :)

  • @MarinaMaxwellYuy It's almost the same... I noticed it for the first listening, no fear ;) :D

  • @Argaria I'm relieved then, I was afraid it was my ears XD

  • @MarinaMaxwellYuy :D I see. Anyway, both are beautiful..

  • @Argaria Indeed

  • I felt sorry for Wolsey, He was a good person!

  • Великолепная музыка Тревора Морриса!!!!!!!!! Шедевр!

  • I never much cared for Wolsey's character in the show but if ever I saw a moment that made a monster into a human being, this scene was it. Felt like I just got kicked in the stomach--and perhaps deservedly so.

  • i don't get it. seriously??

  • wolsey was the only one in which the king could trust but he did not understand that. poor wolsey but .. .

    cheer to wolsey!!!

  • this is an extremely powerful piece of music.

  • Trevor Morrison certainly has talent. This is

    great

  • wolsey didnt commit suicide

  • @MrHistoryhelp Actually yes he did, while he was imprisoned........he stabbed himself after saying a few prayers to prepare himself for heaven

  • @SpaceMarineUltra no he fell ill and died

  • @MrHistoryhelp Oh you mean in actual history......Yes he fell ill and died on the way to Leicester in 29/10 -1530.......

  • @SpaceMarineUltra thanks

  • I like the drums so much at the beginning <3

  • more superior than many others, tudors was amongst the greatest tv series ever shot

  • Ok so i figured out what the cords are... i think it's Dm Am C G

  • @thebigbang100 it's G minor at the end :)

  • @midnightglass Yes you're right:) i've done it in a bit of a rush:) thanks for the correction:) too much smiley's :)

  • I had seriously never heard of the tudors. But when my sister was watching it and i was playing a game, i left the game to listen to this music, it was beautiful so i searched it on youtube and now i'm here!

It's a masterpiece, I've always been into music, but when i hear this, i immediatly want to create a soundtrack myself!

  • @coasal You are absolutely right! I was trying to pinpoint what piece of music this reminds me of....you're absolutely right by saying it reminds you of "The Kiss" from LOTM!!

    Both great pieces of music

  • I repeat the act of wosley, it' s a act of faith , he know that with act the redemption not for him, but he make this act some a penitent and hope in the secret of her soul at to became safe

  • when wosley to begin think to make the sucide; and to begin to speak with god,I think it' s strong moment of all of the serie. When this man take the terrific desicion, he know he' s damned and don't search the redemption for her soul, but he need to take a contact with god or explain why, and he make a act to be conduce directly to the hell, but he do, he know the destination but he asume her responsability but I think it' s a proof of faith, I think the soul of woslay cry in the same time.

  • Damn, Wolsey, you'll never know when Raptors are behind you...

  • I still think it's a way to "happy" theme for this dramatic scene. Poor Wolsey. :(

  • @Nuramon That's what made it so heartwrenching. Everyone else is happy and dancing to THIS. Celebrating his downfall and finally, his death. It's a powerful song and paired with his dialogue, absolutely beautiful.

  • i just love this song...

  • @coasal yes totally! i thought that the very first time i heard it, as well as "a historic love", which is pretty similar. glad i'm not the only one who caught that. last of the mohicans was the first soundtrack i fell in love with. :)

  • Very nice! I love this track, it is very powerful. but is it just me or is it a bit different from the one used in the actual scene? In the actual scene you can hear a higher pitched violin (?) in the background.

Still thanks for putting this up.

  • @Carnivoure12 The soundtrack is used two times: when Wolsey commits suicide and at the end of season 2. So maybe the composers slightly edited one of them.

  • @Carnivoure12

The track "A Historic Love" sounds very similar to this one, and may be the one you are thinking of. It has a higher-pitched melody like the one you described.

  • This is really the best song next to A Howling Wilderness (:

  • Love this song and the scene and this serie ! I'm looking for the song in season 1 episode 8 when we can see Wolsey, Catharine of Aragon and the others preparing themselves and going in the trial. Can somebody help me please ?

  • Just fell in love with this song and the scene in The Tudors ! I'm looking for the song season 1 episode 8 when we can see Wolsey, Catharine of Aragon and the others preparing themselves for the trial... Can someone help me please ?

  • i love the monologue and to be honest it was the one of the best scene on tudors

  • I loved his monologue! That was sooo true and poetic! And this song went perfectly with it!

  • Très belle musique !!!

  • this is such a cool song.

  • I'm sure that the person who dislikes this video is Wolsey.

  • @Hylian22 hahaha. your comment made me laugh

  • @Hylian22 hahaa never tought of that! :D

  • @Hylian22

That was me, voted thumbs down by accident :(

Voted thumbs up 100 times to make up for it :D

  • @Hylian22 god, u killed me :D very good!!

  • @Hylian22 Best comment ever on youtube...

  • i bet jonathan ray myers loved his part in this show soooo much

  • @conz2009

a family friend worked behind the scenes of the tudors, Special effects i think. Jonathan was drunk most of the time and very difficult to work with apparently, its a shame, hes a brilliant actor.

  • Sam Neil was brilliant portraying Wolsey. He was so believable as the character.

  • its played when he commits suicide, a little bit later in the same episode (1x09) when anne and henry have sex... and again in the last episode of the second season after anne's execution

  • This song may be beautiful but it happened right after Anne died so I never really liked it that much because it always reminds me of Anne.

  • Some of the most beautiful accord combinations I've ever heard! I listen to it every day.

  • Thumbs up if you cried when Wolsley commited suicide! and when anne was beheaded! While this song was playing!

  • well, the underlying music is a bit similar to the track from Last of the Mohicans...it's an underlying 6/8 time...so the similarity would be rather marked...as well as the beat :) Other than that the tunes do seem to differ a good bit

  • I just had eggs for dinner!

  • wickerwillow and thelmadulla, you are right about the theme of The Last of The Mohicans. I've heard this again and they are similar. Fantastic music!

  • this song is very beautiful thanks

  • wonderful music, I got thrills on my arms. ^^

  • poor Wolsey :(

  • @TRUnderworld09

Yeah, you'll never know when raptors are coming :(

  • This music sounds even when ana and the king are naked in the forest

  • It looks like all the women in the photo have been beheaded - is that the idea?

  • 'I have seen eternity, I swear.

As in a dream and the morning always gone.'

  • This music is a thing of brilliance, and compliments The Tudors like no other.

  • Superbe ! Sam Neill is a great actor and what a wonderful music !

  • awesome

    *****

  • same that Henry eats the swan

  • I cried so much when Wolsey killed himself

  • this song is awsome for such as a great serie!

  • Sigh, this song gets me everytime...epic

  • Preciusly sound. It love it

  • This is from the scene where Henry and Anne do it for the first time in the garden and where Wolsey slits his throat. Its in the end of the 1 season 10th episode

  • Such a gift when music transports you...to when and where ever it may take us...brilliantly done Mr. Morris...well done you!

  • If you visit my account, you can find a 8 part wolsey tribut (every weekend a new part), where you can follow his downfall, i cutted the scenes so that it is like an own short serie of him, with music from tudors and some orchetstres in the background.. i would look forward if you watch them,... or search for Wolsey´s regency...

    I realy want a feedback ;>

  • @Takeo1813 i will check it out, the cardinal was a great person

  • I love Anne Boleyn since the beggining of the Tudors and I hate Henry and Jane Seymour....

  • Does this song use actual Tudor instruments?

  • The ending scenes were absolute perfection ^^. Haven't seen the last two seasons, but if they're anything like the first two, they'll be great ^^

  • i just finished season 3. i keep coming back to this. AWESOME AWESOME show. can't believe today some guy said "huh? tudors? never even heard of that. wanna watch a historic drama watch Spartacus"

  • so beautiful

  • BELLISSIMA CANZONE MERAVIGLIOSA

  • i so love this so much thanks u!

  • I don't understand why so many people hate anne boleyn. I think that in the show she's one of the best characters. Maybe Natalie Dormer is just a really good actress.

  • @BettyBoopIsMe94 I have nothing against the historical figure, and I think Natalie Dormer plays her amazingly. She's a very complex character...at times I did hate her and at times I loved her. But I love Katherine Of Aragon more, so I always held something against her because of poor Katherine haha.

  • @IdentityUnknown89 i agree! Queen Katherine was the TRUE Queen of England. But alas, no sons from her... and henry got pissed and desparate.

  • @BettyBoopIsMe94 I don't think many people hate Anne Boleyn, she is the best queen and in the Tudors is the best character. People love Anne Boleyn and hate Henry VIII.

  • i just finished season 2 on DVD. i was beginning to really hate Anne, but when she died i felt so, so very sorry for her. the poor thing...

can't wait till season 3 (have that). i HATE anne's father SO MUCH.

  • Oh don't hate Anne Boleyn. You should read the Joanna Denny's biography of her. Don't believe the Tudor myths about her. She was a strong, clever woman who may have been the figure who started the dissolution of the monasteries. As for the soundtrack, it's truly amazing and I must buy it.

  • This is longer and bit more dramatic than Historic Love, which though similar, runs shorter and is more romantic.

THIS version of it makes me cry, that whole scene made me cry. Wolsey wasn't always the best person, but just his utter dejection and the way people were just mocking him and laughing while he killed himself (they didn't know he was doing that, but interspersion was heart-wrenching) . . . I bawled! :*(

  • @KaraStarbuckNY dont worry u cried to i hated Wolsey up until he was saying to god he knows what he deserves and doesnt expect anything. i regretted hating him after his speech.

  • this is from thier first love scene...

  • who the hell can dislike this?! :O

  • @Mrslizzie159 nobody :)

  • "The last of the Mohicans" (composer Trevor Jones) actually was the antetype for this theme of Trevor Morris.

Both of the pieces are powerful crescendi written in d-minor, 4-4-time + are very similar constructed and orchestrated. Only the chords are different:

    "Mohicans": d | C | F | C | d

    "Tudors": d | a | C | g | a

Although Trevor Jones is my favorite composer, I must confess: This Tudors-Song of T. Morris is better then the antetype! Overwhelming!

  • this scene where wolsey is praying & theyre putting on that little play about him at the same time is just brilliant!

  • This excites me. It makes me feel as if I need to climb into a saddle and ride off into the sunset...or something along those lines! ^^

  • His suicide scene was brutal to say the least.

  • Amazing son
