I'm absolutely 100% positive that the Bad Religion Riot of 1990 which was broadcast on ABC's World News Tonight in 1990, was the impetus of Epitaph Records future success in 1994. This riot video gave Bad Religion, Pennywise and Epitaph world wide publicity in 1990. Pennywise was broadcast live on ABC world News Tonight performing at the El Portal where the riot broke out....

This ABC broadcast put Bad Religion and Epitaph over the top in 1990 four years prior to 1994.
