  • The wolf shouts A GHOST @ 6:31

  • i love miss mupit reaction on 1:47

  • I don't see Casper in my rhyme book :C

  • they should have a theme park called mother goose land

  • The wolf looks more like a Donkey.

  • watching this as a little kid i used to think it was odd that the wolf ate the key and then put a napkin around his neck

  • Oh, wow I just recognized... at 2:30-2:34 is a part in the Casper film! And lol I liked the end where Casper turned completely red after Riding Hood kissed him! :"D

  • Haha! That was awesome at 3:21 - "I'll be your friend... you're cute!" xD I mean c'mon, I agree. Lol. :)

  • This ghost acts way too fucking gay to be friendly.....o-o

  • This was truly my most favorite of the Casper Cartoons. This is the THE cartoon that encasulates the true meaning of childhood inocence. How did we become a world of mystery, wonder and fun for children of all ages to a dark, fearful, and humorless society in such a short amount of time? To be old enough to remember when time moved slowly enough to appreciate these fantastic cartoons has become both a blessing and a curse. I don't think we'll ever see an age like this again.

  • This is my all time favorite

  • I thought Casper can't stay coz he wants to make MORE friends.

  • I love 2:43-2:48. I could watch it a thousand times on a loop.

  • @plymouthpoker Why do you watch Casper if you don't like it?

  • finally casper got his own rhyme . . Ha ha

  • how can a spider be afraid of a ghost?

  • i love this show..

  • I am the old woman who lives in a shoe I have so many children I don't know what to do.

    Great haha

  • the wolf looks like a rabbit because of its teeth.. hehehehe!!!

  • love mae questels voice roles <3

  • 5:52 Casper to the rescue!!!!

  • What is Red Riding Hood doing in Mother Goose Land? Shouldn't she be in Story Book Land?

  • @Hewylewis Mother Goose Land and Story Book Land can both! - You know merge

  • these are so cute, i can't help but giggle :D

  • same music again? In 2006, Classic Media released 52 of the 78 episodes produced on a four disc DVD set entitled Harvey Toons - The Complete Collection.

  • If he's so friendly, why'd he laugh at mice who had their tails lopped off?

  • Because Sid Raymond was the voice of the wolf {often known as "Wolfie" in other Paramount cartoons}, 'Technus', and used his impression of Bert Lahr for that voice [best known as the "Cowardly Lion", on Broadway, radio and screen appearances, Lahr often puncutated his reactions with "Gnong, gnong, gnong!!"].

  • the beginning had a church that looked from the 1929 Disney cartoon The Skeleton Dance

  • wat three line mise

  • The sight gag of the heroine being chased by the

villian around the walls of the room was reworked in a

Popeye movie cartoon:Mister and Miseltoe a few years

    later.

  • Dear Doodykins, Mr.Sid Raymond..was also on The Paul Winchell TV Show.

  • You know those animators at Paramont were pretty devious at times...One, Little Red Riding Hood is a little more flirtatious than a little girl should be...she tells Casper, "You're Cute!" Then while being chased by the wolf (on a motorcycle, yet!) while running on the wall, you get (sneaky) glimpes of Little Red Riding Hood's white underpants while holding up the front of her skirt! Woo-Woo!!! You can't help but look up her skirt!!! Kinda risque for 1950!!! :)

  • Kind of like Humbert Humbert's dreamland

  • Why do all wolfs on Casper's show make that sound "Nya Nya Nya" or something like that

  • CASPER I LOVE YOU

  • @Lebnaaan Casper's number 1.

  • jackson beck as the spider...

  • Ms.Roy is also the voice of"Mother Goose!".

  • Sid God Bless him did a good Bert Lahr

like voice and not just for "The Casper"cartoons?

He also did that voice for "The Blackie The Sheep"

    movie cartoons.

  • He also did an episode of "The Honeymooners" with Jackie Gleason.

  • great classic, that spider also got the hell outa there.

  • This has to be my favorite Casper cartoon ever! Thanks for posting!

  • so cute!! Casper~~ you'r my friend!

and thanks for sharing, too !

  • LOL @ Little Miss Muffett...she got the hell outta there.....LOL

  • Great job for bringing back Casper to YouTube, man. Upload more soon.

  • I laat saw this around 30 yrs ago - it was my fav single cartoon episode. I've thought of it many times over the years, and can't believe I found it...thanks so much to the poster! This is a wonderful treat!

  • IS it just me or does the wolf in this LOOK ALOT like tex averys wolf?

  • Jackson Beck is the narrator and the spider {Jack Mercer did his screaming}. Cecil(e) Roy is "Miss Muffet" and "Red Riding Hood". Sid Raymond does his 'Bert Lahr' impression as "The Wolf".

  • omg i love this. its amazing. i watch it everyday before breakfast. thanks for the video

  • one of my favorites in 1961 when i was 4
