@Applejuice591 the iron sights are not obstructed by the scope. You can use both the scope and iron sights. I don't use a scope to aim at a target 30 feet away. That's the whole point of this setup, so you can swtich between them. Otherwise, why keep the carry handle there? It's not doing anything.

@autotechnica Well TECHNICALLY the carry handle would have to be there either way with a magnified optic because otherwise the front sight would block its view, and you cant just take the front sight off because it IS the gasblock. so even if u had an optic with a large objective lense that blocket the irons, ud still be running it.

@paintball53master I may actually have to register my gun soon. It's getting really close to 600FPS occasionally. As you may or may not know, any firearm that exceeds 600FPS must be registered as an unrestricted gun in Ontario, Canada. A gun like that with that high an FPS will make any grown man cry should I choose to use it for self defense. Airsoft guns are actually used in some prison facilities in the US as a means of crowd/riot control. I'm not a fan of AEG's.

@Korentokuulla Possibly, but that's still a fully automatic rifle which is for military use only. There are still no AR-15 platform guns avilable for puchase by the general public. We are not allowed to import the AR-15 platform period, regardless of what gun import licenses you have. Military applications are very different, they can pretty much get whatever they want as long as the government is willing to share it's technology with neighbouring countries.

That was our last desperate chance to own anything here in Canada that even remotely resembles an AR-15. If AR-15's were legal for posession here in Canada, I would definitely have one. They aren't, so really, this is the best I can do. The advantages are that I don't have to deal with the hassels of owning a real gun.

@deptofmisc Milsim and full realism I would go for GBB's. They break apart and function almost completely like a real AR. However, for typical airsoft battles where you just want to get as many rounds down range as possible, I would recommend battery powered AEG's. They aren't realistic and IMO sound like crap. However, they are the most reliable and have a great ROF and hold many rounds in each mag. You can get metal AEG's. However, dimentions aren't 1:1. Gas guns can use a lot of real AR parts

@mrlamabamaman it's mean for one full mag (30rnds), which is why gas guns are no good for typical airsoft games. It's good for milsim as they are pretty much REAL caps. I've tested 45 rounds max with one full fill up of propane. Same goes for CO2.

I've already sold all my CO2 mags, went back to propane and never even considered CO2 again. Propane works great, just don't expect a full auto gun out of these WE's. They burst fire just fine. But anyways, if you're into real mil-sim that's how a real AR is supposed to be used anyways. After some upgrades I've also decked out my rifle in full Magpul accessories. I love my gun to death now.

It's a AWSS V2. All the versions are pretty much all the same internally. A lot of people neglict basic maintainence. I grease and oil all my parts regularly. Makes a very big difference.

Very true, people complain about malfunctions when they are mainly their fault. When you get the gun its best to clean and re-lube. They use heavy grease for packing which will restrict the blow back. I tell people the same thing about real firearms.

When you compare green gas with propane its a different opinion between actual use and what is called "chairsofting."

Yes green gas is better overall if you're using for skirmish purpose because you don't have time to lube after every game.

Yes propane is better for chairsofting because you don't use it for 4-5 hours straight.
