If you can find the "original" jitter ring, package by Bandai for sale in Maui, Hawaii - those are the best. Search Google and images of the packaging will come up. You will probably have to get lucky and look on eBay or Amazon to find them.
Most slingers I've met are not as good as me... but I'm sure if you think all of these videos I uploaded are "easy steezy" then compared to you I'm not very good, lol!
I made a 3 foot diameter jitterring a long time ago... I still have it somewhere. You can climb through it while performing a basic jitter.
As far as I know, you can't get them anywhere online. I've never seen anyone claim to have one of the original Jitterring's besides me with all of the slingers I run into. I've got one of the 22k gold plated ones and it's fast. I have a chatter ring, king ring, and a couple other no-name brands and they are all slow. If you want to Rock The Baby, slow is good. Most every other trick seems to work better with a fast ring.
That's too bad that Island Edge is no longer in business. So I should stay tuned in for a new vendor to pick up the official Bandai labeled Jitterrings? That would be great to be able to purchase them again, they are the best.
I don't know your Father personally, I never met him, but we chatted on a jitterring forum back in the day. I want to say Nicky was on there too. The site was created by the original designer of the Jitterring I think because he sent me 3 rings and 2 videos.
The forum I am thinking of was on the creator of the jitterring, Murry Potts' website. It was called jittermax-com. You can look up the site in archive-org and go back to the first one in 2001 and see the forum. Everyone from TJR was there I believe. I can send you links to these sites if you want, apparently I can't post them in a comment.
If you do end up hearing anything about where I could buy some of the original rings, please let me know. Everyone I bump into wants one.
