@LaVoix555 Without the fall, this would have been a nearly perfect routine. Other gymnasts lost that 0.8 making other little deductions. And she had a huge D score.

no offence. though li's routine is extremely difficult, i still think that she shouldn't medal with a floor. gymnastics shouldn't be all abt difficulty, but also artistry and perfection. i m sure if she was in the 80s or 90s, she is over.
Li Shanshan...the current "uncrowned" Queen of the Balance Beam. The reason? Blame her inconsistency! The solution? Team GWA-China must have time to boost her self-esteem(like what they did to He Kexin).
They mustn't leave her like what happened to Hurdler Liu Xiang. Otherwise they shall waste another Olympic talent...
One thing I dislike about Chinese commentators is that they are over critical with form breaks in routines, except when it comes to their own gymnasts.
And other countries' commentators aren't? And I find the Chinese commentators actually do comment on form mistakes in their own gymnasts. And they don't bash on other countries' gymnasts either.
by the way if you did not notice...nastia and shawn were extremely consistent at olympics, nailed beam routine after beam routine and still got underscored,,,at that level girls should not be wobbling on full turns and other easy dance which chinese did and missed connections so should have dropped start value on chinese but did not happen.....i am glad shawn won beam...she deserved it.

Shawn cannot compare to Nastia's execution on beam. Futhermore the SV for the Chinese dropped by 0.3 from a planned 7.3 to 7.0/6.9.

Nastia is way better than Li. Natia is the Olympic champion!!! And Li fell in the balance beam final at the Olympics too. She is so inconsistent. Nastia barely wobbled!!

She is overscored.
You're crazy. It's not WAY better. It's way DIFFERENT, but not necessarily better. Li fell off on a turn, Nastia broke after a whip. Those aren't equal deductions. Li also took a step on her dismount. The evidence is all there. I loved Li's routine, but it wasn't worthy of the world title... yet.

No matter what others say - she's my alltime favorite on beam and she will always be it even if she'll never win it in Worlds or in the Olympics!
I can't take my eyes off her when she's performing!^^

Liukin has been more than three years debut,but on the contrary, LI shanshan only debut more than a year,so i think they can not be compared..
