  • Nice comparison, I own one of these myself and it's a really nice guitar. Funny how people are hating on you though for not playing anything too complex though, but I like a guy who doesn't have to show off at every given oppertunity.

  • u should learn how to play the godamn thing first

  • I hav a Rare 2007 nitro finish daphne blue single coil highway one strat. Fender only made 1500 in nitro daphne blue for the up graded versions of the highway one strats. I have been offord $1,285 for mine should i sell or wait? Color discon, 12-31-2007

  • This Guitar is so Beautiful! :D

  • Why does this video have so many dislikes? The playing and audio quality is fine.

  • I own a 1983 62 reissue I had a lot of problems with this guitar at first, the curvature of the neck made it hard to play so I had the neck strightened and put gibson jumbo fret wire and it made a huge difference, but I also like humbuckers better so I routed out the bridge and put in a dimarzio super distortion, but having only 21 frets presented some other problems, so now I want to get something else, I like this guitar but I need more frets any suggestions?

  • I GOT A JOBBY DADDY!!!!

  • @YoMama057 Yes I love you too.

  • @YoMama057 he can have whatever guitar he wants to. he's paying for it so he will have the luxury of having a nice guitar. simple.

  • @YoMama057 yur kind of right!

  • @YoMama057 this is kind of giving a ferrari to a guy with no license... instead of giving raikonen a fiat

  • @uva2323 Not at all, It's like Ferrari selling one of their nice cars to someone willing and able to pay for it rather than someone who's broke but thinks he can drive.

  • Is it hard to bend on this guitar?

  • @Stratocasteph

Huh, because I was wondering that. I have read a lot of splendid reviews about this guitar. People say it's really good but because the action is high that it's hard to bend... I guess I'll see for myself when I get it.

  • @SubsistenceSC Action is fine but the tight radius means its more prone to fret out when you bend. 7.25 radius feels a lot different than the others, it's more comfortable for chording but the strings are closer together making it less easy to play individual notes for some.

  • beautiful guitar, thanks for the video

  • Wkhy did you sell the guitar? It seems great.

  • That sounds....so nice.

  • damn. fuckin mint.

  • Tom Green plays a strat!!!!

  • Is there any really big differences with an American Standard Strat...? I mean in the sound and maybe the quality of it's part.

  • thought id ask how you like ur clone amp compared to a deluxe reverb? i thought about getting a clone from ceriatone, but just wanted to know yours compares to the real deal?

  • nice guitar man but if i were you i'd relic it just a little bit almost nothing

  • @alanr1995

    Thank you.

    First, I sold this guitar.

And second, I don't like relic guitars :-)

  • @alanr1995 relic it urself by playing it a lot naturally..... like srv

  • @alanr1995 how do you relic guitars? and what is relicing guitars?

  • i like the lick man.. sounds good.. dont listen to the douche blow me!!

  • @lilticklez dude im sorry, it wont happen again

  • Im really glad your showing us informative examples of your guitars, but that lick your playing makes me cringe. please play a different one

  • i thought that these reissues had the chrome tremolo covers on the bridge?

  • @tvtalent Yes they have. But if you use it, you can't mute the strings with the palm of your hand.

  • Comment removed

  • @tvtalent You can take them off with a simple pull.

  • This video is actually of sufficient audio quality to get an idea of the actual sound. Cleanest sounding guitar at this price. I have the exact same one. 2007-8. Neck position PU is the definition of tone. That amp does not hurt either.

  • There are only two positions you actually need.

    1 = neck (Hendrix position)

    4 = bridge + middle = (Knopfler position)

    The rest is expendable

  • 2= great for clean funk

  • @theamazing39

And the name of the rulebook is?

  • @MrNebelful "2 rules, 1 cup"

  • @nebulae87 LOL

  • Bought one of these beauties 2 years ago, incredible guitar.

  • YOU LOOK LIKE TOM GREEN!!!!!!

  • and i understood the purpose of the video, i didnt understand why someone in the market for an expensive guitar would rely on youtube for the sound of it instead of going and playing one for themselves. again, i know its difficult for you to actually read AND understand all of this, so take your time. dont be afraid to ask for help from someone smarter than yourself, which you wont have any trouble finding.

  • I love you.

  • Ah, yeah. I almost forgot.

-I think that's the second time you mentioned the use of "captain". What's wrong? running out of wise cracks?

-I'm just curious as to how you would know how a 15 year old girl types when on your Youtube profile it says your age is 24. Little sketchy there, bro.

  • it wouldn't be considered studying the way you type i dont think, its more like i can read and i read what you wrote. and that isnt as flattering as you taking time out of your day to look at my profile to see how old i am. thats whats 'sketchy'. also, its pretty common knowledge that phrases like lol are used by a younger generation, which doesnt surprise me that a) you didnt know that (because you arent very smart) and b) you use those phrases yourself because you are obviously immature

  • a) That entire first sentence sounds like a Dr. Seuss quote :)

    b) Well what can I say? I enjoy returning the favor to those who flatter me ;)

    c) Oh, excuse me. a younger generation. Alright. So you converse with 15 year old girls from a younger generation. Next.

    d) You're right I AM immature. Obviously I go on Youtube videos making a wise crack to the uploader without having a clue of the purpose of the video.

    e) Seriously, we should hook up some time.

  • well, if you could comprehend a sentence instead of just looking at it you would understand that i said it is common sense (which means the majority of people understand) that the younger generation uses said phrases, but you insist on making the same joke that i converse with 15 year old girls. i guess that was another attempt at humor, but i saw it the first time you wrote it, and its still not funny. was the dr. suess thing supposed to be a burn or something? confused there too.

  • i fell asleep what happened? oh he's playing the same chords over and over? gotcha, awesome job man really helpful...psych.

  • You should've learned to read descriptions while you were sleeping there, captain. The guy's demoing each pickup sound for viewers who search YouTube to examine the guitars before they get them, & not to judge the guitarist to make them feel like they're more pro. ; )

  • ooooooooooooooooooh ok. well if anyone bases whether or not they buy an american vintage 62 off of this video they need their head examined. and im a little confused as to how i could learn to read a description while im sleeping. thats not physically possible. and did you just call me 'captain'? grow up.

  • LOL well, maybe at some point in your guitar playing life, you'll understand the difference between pickups & how they'll affect your decision on which guitar suits you. And I'm a little confused also as to how lame that poor attempt at a wise-ass comeback was. I'll leave you to your life now, all the best wishes.

-Wait. Did a guy who just used the word "psych" tell me to grow up? LOL classic.

  • @AnthonyMusngi im just kind of baffled that people would go on youtube instead of actually playing the guitar and hearing the pickups live, but you have repeatedly made it clear that you aren't smart enough to realize that so i have to spell it out for you. and whats with the capital lol'ing so much? are you a 15 year old girl that uses phrases like lol, omg, or wtf? lastly, you do remember that you referred to me as captain, and you're saying that im lame, right?

  • LOL omg wtf, captain? like idk maybe they're lazy to go to a guitar like store, or just wanna check it out from their homes. LOL omg..

Honestly, I'm flattered that you study the way I type. Makes me feel special, y'know. Call me, we should get together some time ;)

  • sorry... I understand!... thank u

  • Comment removed

  • umm. it is the vintage bridge if you have any slight understanding of vintage reissue fenders you should know that most if not all come with the 6 screw vintage style bridge. and if not, now you do;)

  • Thank you for your answer planetcaravan.

MrBern20, this guitar is an American Vintage (aka American Reissue), and not an American Series or American Standard.

  • joer, eso tiene que sonar mil veces mejor !!! que pasa ??

  • these pickups or Lollars?

  • pickups are stock Fender 57/62.

  • i ment... what would you recommand?

  • i don't like the 57/62 too bright and too noisy. I took mines out and put in seymour duncans ssl1 way better

  • gosh i love mine o but mine the real deal pre cbs 94232 love my strat

  • hey ive been looking at this guitar for a while. does it feel sturdy? what about the neck? is it glossy? i dont know i just had a few questions.

  • i own a 62 vintage and its by far the best guitar i have it can take alot and perfect for all styles of music then neck has a finish over it but wears down like the rest of the guitar, mine has paint worn off and finish gone on the head and neck its amazing its like owning your own real 62 that also ages :D

  • Great guitar, what are you asking for it?

  • Very nice sound !

How much do you want for it ?

  • Thank you very much!

  • Wow... there is no "huuumm" in you pickups.

    Are they the original pickups?

  • Yes these are original pickups.

But I shielded the pickup cavity with copper foil, that's the secret.

  • Very intelligent.

What do you say about this guitar? 57' or 62'?

    I'm thinking of buy one.

  • I'm not sure to well understand your question.

This guitar is a 62 reissue, with a C shaped rosewood neck.

The american 57 reissue has V-shaped maple neck.

But the pick ups are the same on both.

Well, I'm thinking to sell this one to buy a Mark Knopfler signature strat.

  • Ok... thank you very much!

  • Great tip...'thanks man!

Your strat is cool, is it still for sale?
