Actually I'm a theater major with a 3 1/2 octave baritenor range. I assure you I can hold a 'straight note.' Chino was amazing at one point. The toils and struggles of trying to be a cool 'rockstar' killed him. He's been running on fumes for years. Loco, not sure how I personally insulted you. I agree with the sentiment of the comment. I consider Chino to be as naturally gifted a singer as anyone I've heard. So yes it is certainly painful to hear his voice from the Saturday Night Wrist era onward. I don't know how they recorded his vocals on SNW to be honest because clearly he can't reach the notes he sings on the record. My guess would be there was a lot of digital assistance.
