Lastly, I just wanna thank you for sharing your knowledge with the community, you know, with anyone interested in what you guys do. I thank you personally and all the other people out there on YouTube and other video sharing sites. I really appreciate it! You are really being helpful. Sorry about the extent of this posting. Please don't mind, I tend to go on for hours when I am excited about something I really like to discuss. =) So keep up the good work, and have fun shooting! Cheers!
I find that when I take photos outside at night that do not involve people I normally do not need to use a flash, but this depends on the situation and the mood I want to put into the shot...
I seem to get comments like this on occasions and i appreciate them. I actually have a few problems with animating my voice to make this information over exciting to others simply because it is not me.
I just provide photography Tips - No Hype and NO B.S.
I tried the techniques you teach and oh man, I can do anything on night photography. Most of the subjects I take are buildings. I also did some experimenting playing with the shutter speed. I tried a BULB shutter, put the control on hold for 15 minutes. I ran to my subject and painted with a flash light on the walls. Oh my, I think I sold 120 copies... Appreciate the information...THANK YOU
Thanks for the information! How did you take the exposure reading on that Luna park pic? Did you go up close to it and take the reading or take it directly from the place you were standing? Did you use a separate meter of the one in your camera?
As far as my voice goes, my ears have had to suffer for over forty years from listening to my voice.
You should try hearing it from my side...
Unfortunately, I can't do much about it, it looks like we are both stuck with it, except you have the option of hearing my voice with the volume turned down or muted.
your awesome! make learning photography easy and worthwhile! keep putting out videos and more and more people will enjoy your knowlege immensly. Thanks dan
Great comment, thanks for that. It is nice comments from people like you that inspire me to continue making videos, I appreciate this very much, so thanks again...
I am very pleased that I have been able to assist you with a few ideas for your photography and I hope that you continue to get enjoyment from what you love...
Yes, not a problem at all as long as you have control over shutter speed and the ability to slow it down so as you can get the affect that you are after...
Good Luck and I hope that you continue to enjoy your photography.
I use a Canon Digital 350D for a lot of my work; actually I used this camera for this video.
In addition to this camera, I occasionally use my Fuji G617 Panoramic Camera for Landscape photography; however it is not necessary to use this brand camera for landscape work as you can achieve similar results with a digital camera.
I will explain more about the pros and cons in using the Fuji G617 Camera with transparency film in another video that will be released soon...

The exposure was taken from a distance, simply by taking an average meter reading of the scene...
I also used a tripod and cable release.
Thanks

Good videos man, very informative. Do you think you can take some nice night pics with a non professional camera? Like a cyber shot or something?
