I cannot understand how christians believe that god intervenes on their behalf on selfish trivial matters while allowing so many innocent children die of starvation every day. It is unbelievably narcissistic and arrogant to believe that they are really that special, especially when these same christians are usually living a very comfortable life. I saw this video and figured I'd have something to do. I get pen and paper to make sure I get finer points of ?'s and start video. I pause around 58 seconds and start answering; You state 3-4 dr believing in miracles then tack a general statement about Christian beliefs. Which poll? Who conducted this poll? My dr didn't get to participate. The general belief statement, I would say is something more you hear from people going through those specific events, ie eye cancer guy below.
I understand that there are people (atheists) who cannot bring themselves to believe in the idea of Christianity or organized religion. I also understand that they must vent their frustrations to others and organize themselves in order to make sure that their ideas are not silenced but when they start attacking others for their beliefs then they are no better than religious zealots. the Bible makes no refrence that the earth is 6000 years old. I know this because I have read the Genesis account multiple times. How theologians came up with the 6000 years, was backtracking the people mentioned in hte bible. When they did that the number they came up with was 6000 years. But the Bible itself does not say that the earth is 6000 years old.

Most the questions you ask anyway are beyond you or me proving with science or facts. Why does God cause suffering? It's through free-will that we've inflicted suffering upon ourselves, yet God cannot remove free-will, otherwise we would not be people, and free-will isn't free-will without consequences. But that doesn't mean God doesn't hate suffering and interferes when he needs to. Think big picture, not individual cases.

If you're referring to the disciples, you mean around 1000 followers of Jesus at the time, who spent the rest of their lives preaching a "fairytale", some of whom were crucified or otherwise executed for it? I find it interesting that people of faith have peace, thus quantifying their faith. Those without faith aren't fulfilled unless they're denigrating those with faith; signifying a lack of certainty (or comfort) with their conclusion. These events supposidly happen through prayer yet the one thing through prayer that does heal is limb regeneration. I have a close friend who happens to have 4 earned degrees and has read over 10,000 books who witnessed an mans hand regenerate. If someone is to walk along a beach and find a logical sequence written in the sand (for example the fist 10 digits of pie) one would never logically conclude that it was written by birds randomly flapping about and scratching the sand. The reason i bring this up is that the alternative to believing in God is believing in science.
Science finds a logical sequence written in DNA (for example), but happily and logically concludes that it is just by chance. This of course is not logical. I would put forward to you that science takes as much faith as God to believe in, and might I also suggest you do your research a bit better before judging %30 of all people with your "informative" video.

I pause around 58 seconds and start answering; You state 3-4 dr believing in miracles then tack a general statement about Christian beliefs. Which poll? Who conducted this poll? I understand that there are people (atheists) who cannot bring themselves to believe in the idea of Christianity or organized religion. I also understand that they must vent their frustrations to others and organize themselves in order to make sure that their ideas are not silenced but when they start attacking others for their beliefs then they are no better than religious zealots. the Bible makes no refrence that the earth is 6000 years old. I know this because I have read the Genesis account multiple times. How theologians came up with the 6000 years, was backtracking the people mentioned in hte bible. When they did that the number they came up with was 6000 years. But the Bible itself does not say that the earth is 6000 years old.

1st of all,its not "excuses" for why God "doesn't help amputees." God DOES have a plan but we,as sinners, cannot begin to understand how God will use them in His plan. It needs to be understood that none of us are perfect. Also, if u havent noticed,God demanded bloodshed in the OLD TESTAMENT. The new testament is a more modern account. Most the questions you ask anyway are beyond you or me proving with science or facts. Why does God cause suffering? It's through free-will that we've inflicted suffering upon ourselves, yet God cannot remove free-will, otherwise we would not be people, and free-will isn't free-will without consequences. But that doesn't mean God doesn't hate suffering and interferes when he needs to. Think big picture, not individual cases.

If you're referring to the disciples, you mean around 1000 followers of Jesus at the time, who spent the rest of their lives preaching a "fairytale", some of whom were crucified or otherwise executed for it? I'm not yet in college, nor do I consider myself a genius. However, I do believe that I am somewhat intelligent. In other words, I'm not an idiot. I speak for myself and VenomFangX, who I know is one of your "adversaries". When did God say he would heal amputees? God is omnipotent, which is defined as having ultimate authority. God can choose who to perform miracles on. The Bible never even says God "will heal amputees", nor does it say he should. Why should he? We are imperfect and sinful.

Religion got popular because of fear tactics! No one wants to burn in hell forever so instead of risking that idea, and risking being humiliated and shunned by everyone else that believes this non sense you feed into the lie. I find it interesting that people of faith have peace, thus quantifying their faith. Those without faith aren't fulfilled unless they're denigrating those with faith; signifying a lack of certainty (or comfort) with their conclusion. If faith supplys peace and happiness, the faith has accomplished it's goal. Atheism is only satisfying when it insults those with faith. The fact that faith is superior is obvious fom this posture alone.

While one might think this a series of "gotchas" the reality is you're trying to create a standard for God that He doesn't promise to fulfill. Amputee believers are happy with the peace they recieve and don't look for a new limb. The reality is you're placing a requirement on God that YOU THINK He should fulfill, not one He promises.

Lets take question number one and dissect it logically. "Why wont God heal amputees?". This question contains a presupposition that God does not heal amputees. The burden of proof in this case is on the one asserting that God does not heal amputees. Its like asking, "Why is God gay?". The presupposition that "God is gay" is built into the question. Why should I chase my theological tail answering every unproven assertion?

Although I don't believe in God or Jesus myself, I think that this guy and/or organization sucks. Sure the Bible has contradictions, etc. but it's possible to believe in God without believing every word in the Bible. Some believe that God is there, but they don't require that God do anything because they have faith. You have faith in believing there is no God. Don't assume you're right. This is a good video against fundamentalist christians, who are lunatics.

If someone is to walk along a beach and find a logical sequence written in the sand (for example the fist 10 digits of pie) one would never logically conclude that it was written by birds randomly flapping about and scratching the sand. The reason i bring this up is that the alternative to believing in God is believing in science.

I would put forward to you that science takes as much faith as God to believe in, and might I also suggest you do your research a bit better before judging %30 of all people with your "informative" video.

Allah simply means God in Arabic. Are you asking why Yahweh is more likely than allah in a sense that its two different concepts? Secondly, Evolution theory is just that a theory, and there are so many holes in this theory. It still doesnt explain the beginning. And third, reading about cosmology and astrology doesn't speak about the beginning. How would random chance make all so perfect. It cant happen by accident. Science cant explain everything. there are many unknowns.

It does, however, seem to be the most reliable tool we have to find out about the physical universe.
If you think that your particular theology has answers that cannot be found via "science" - logical conjecture based on observable evidence - I'd love to hear why.

A god could have created the world in 6days because a god is all powerful. 2)There could have been a world wide flood that covered mt.everest. And it's been so long that
