You have the right to think whatever you want about dubstep as do I, and I agree that this music is great--amazing even--but there's no reason for you guys to be dicks about it. Musical taste is wholly subjective. So trying to shit on someone else for what they like is just a total dick move. I guarantee you that any one of the members of Rage would have responded to what I said by simply acknowledging my opinion and stating their own while supporting it with--->
@CDOFTHESK8ER ...evidence. I'm not exactly sure what it is that you have against dubstep, but if it is the fact that it's created on computers, then you might want to take note of Zack de la Rocha's collaboration with DJ Shadow, a music producer whose first album was constructed entirely of samples. The song they created is March of Death which can be found here:/watch?v=psxxr9Fp_qw It is pretty good in my opinion.
i was at this show, a bootleggar (did'nt know at the time) asked me what a certain song was and said thanks. later that year i baught a copy of the show i went too, on ebayand Boom there it was the bootlegger sat behind me great show 2 camera shoot. People hidden all over the meadowlands, lol
RATM, along with many others, don't believe that Mumia got a fair trial/could possibly be not guilty. So they were calling either for his freedom or to be re-tried.
the album WAS released November 2nd, 1999, however, the songs were ready way before the album. the album was amost a year l;ater because the band was in the studio 9atimely process) and they had to write some more songs. but mic check and a most of the other BOLA songs were written before BOLA's released. Also, you have to think that some of the BOLA songs were written before its release. Testify was performed in 1993 orignally. Although it very littly resembles this testify.
Wake Up
People of the Sun

Great song and band, but why free Mumia Abu-Jamal? He's a murderer! I don't agree with the death sentece but policepersons have families too.

in the solo, Tom's guitar is first an alarm clock, then a turntabe. Talk about inovation!

he misses out the "i'll be the anti-myth rhythm rock shocker" bit, which is the best line ever made.
deado000 3 years ago
Yeah, but this live version was before the album release.
Zach probably added that lyric at the last minute.
Still. A rare recording of another epic song by RATM.
GOBFilms 3 years ago
It was recorded in 1998, so he already had the line and just didn't include it in this performance.
