This is only the reflection from the setting sun off of the north rim lodge which has a huge wall of windows to reflect off of. The tourist are filming from the south rim looking north with the sun setting to the left which is west. The tourist probably don't know there's a lodge on the north rim. I've hiked rim to rim a couple times and know the area well. They are just zooming into a relection from the sunset.

@cyoungrun actually i lived at the north rim lodge... where the problem is: north and south rim are separated by 10 miles north/south. the sun rises/sets east/west. all buildings on both sides are angled parallel to the canyon to maximize its panoramic qualities. oh, and the north rim, where the video is being recorded, is 1,000 ft higher than south rim. so that sun rise would need to be lower than that 45 degree tilted window to record that perfectly. but youre right, theyre all morons.

As you can see the sun is hitting the side of the canyon he is filming. If you have been to the Grand Canyon like me you would know there are tone of builings on the rim. This guy is using quite a crappy camera and the sun is reflecting off the windows of the buildings. This has happend with me before but I have a better camera so the reflection of the window didn't look so abnormal.
