i made a mod that brings the rock it launcher back to new vegas

its not 100% like the fallout 3 rock it launcher but it has 12 ammo tiyps for now the mod is in new vegas nexus by the name ROCK IT LUNCHER V3FULL

its been patched... but you can delete the patch and then re-install it

Look it up in the wiki it's not in the game but the schematics is present but This appears to be largely due to a functional difference in the GECK which prevents weapons from using Miscellaneous Items as ammunition [as Verified through experimental process].

looks like this vid gives us one reason to keep Fallout 3...to reminisce with good old weapons, like Vengeance(I like gatling lasers in Fallout 3 better) Railway Rifle, Rock it Launcher, Strong Fatmans, MIRV, Perforater, Deathclaw Gauntlet, A3-21's Plasma Rifle, Wazer Wifle, and MPLX Novasurge.

I spent all that time getting the parts, couldn't find it in the list. Tried getting jury rigging, still couldn't find it in the list. Now I look at the video and get pissed because bethesda forgot to either include or remove it. Thanks for the video though, and very well done

you can't make it because the developers were originally going to put it in the game but didn't and thay forgot to remove the useless scematics. Of course there's no rail way rifle for the reasons: No Scematics and no railway spikes.

It looks like they originally were going to include the rock-it launcher as well as other schematics-based weapons in the game. They didn't however, but left the rock-it schematics in the Nellis Hangar. It's been removed in the latest patch.

It was cut from the original game they just forgot to remove the schematics

Anyway, it's not really a bug. The gun was cut from the final game but they forgot to remove the schematics from the game as well, which is why they are found in such an odd place (and why nobody mentions them or where to look for them in the game).

@pabastfotwiny Dude, I completely forgot about the railway rifle...Stickin' heads to stuff was good and all - but hearing that "Choo! Choo!" noise it made was what really made me happy...I miss murdering people with Teddy Bears and pencils too though... maybe in Dead Money?

This is not a glitch / bug, the Rock-it Launcher was cut from new vegas.

They just forgot the remove the schematics.

Vacuum cleaner is found @ NCR correctional facility in cell block B, pick the lock or get keycard from "Dawes". I just spent all this time gathering these ingredients, looking to turn my 300 t-rex toys into ammo... Same shit happened to me. There are too many big problems, like Raul not giving Full Maintenance OR Vaquero perk if you talk to Ranger Andy before you have him with you, and now the Rock-It-Launcher schematic not appearing after I found it in Nellis and found all the parts.

@videogamemasterish Vaccum cleaner is in the Primm Hotel near where you begin the game. Its in a locked store cupboard, it takes roughly 30 Lockpick I think to get in to it, Once you're inside the store cupboard, it is to your immediate right on the floor in the corner, its a small room so it wont take long to find it. @LordRyus Haha, by the way the leaf blower is on the bunk bed in cell block B in the powder gangers hide out (The old NCR correctional facility) its basically a jail.

I got the same issue. It's EXTREMELY ANNOYING as it was one of my favoutite weapons from Fallout 3. I got the 4 items stashed in a safe along with a Nuka-Cola truck and a gnome as hand-picked ammo for it. I want this bug patched so badly.

@rubix7k yeah man, same.. by the way if you go to the shop inside the dinosaur at Novac you can pick the storage door on the right and there are 160+ fake rockets in which you could fire from the Rock-it launcher and best of all... They weigh nothing!

@oiKiLLaaaZzx I know the place you mean. The room with the rockets is irradiated. The thing is though....I think all those rockets are quest items as it will not let me drop them from my inventory or sell them.

@rubix7k ohh, well I was told you should be able to shoot them, but maybe not.. Imagine how funny it would look in V.A.T.S when it zooms into the projectile i.e the fake rocket and it hits the ememy and doesnt explode and merely drops to the ground :)

@xIDestructoxI Correct Matholomew, but you are forgeting, this is a 'Mini Nuke' And so I was able to walk away from the incident. Nethertheless had it been a Full sized 'Nuke' it would of been certain death my friend. Confused you are no longer. 8-)
