@Alignn black friday is the day after thanksgiving where stores have huge sales on selected items (usually very limited stock, so it is bait and switch). over the years it seems people have been more and more stupid bout it too...people getting trampled, fights, etc. the idea of going into the black from the red is about going from negative (owing money) to black (making money).
