umm, konop is not a republican.  he is part of Toledo Democrats Team A. you see the democrats have had control in toledo for so long (20+ years) that they had to divide up into an A team and a B team so they had someone to argue with. It is so bad that a few years ago the 1 republican on council ended up as president of council because Teams A and B could not agree.
