  • I'm completely Irish on both sides, i love it :)

  • I don't know what my entire ancestry is. I do know my last name is Scottish in origin. As for do I have scots-irish blood? I don't know. I know the majority of my family is German and Cherokee. I have a dark complexion and dark hair.....but my beard is a mixture of black and red. Maybe so!

  • @BatteryRock Don't forget, not all Irish have red hair. :P My family is German and Irish, and pretty much all of us have deep brown hair. The girls definitely got those fiery tempers, though! XD

  • I have1/2 Irish blood in me veins!

  • Love my Irish blood.

  • I don't know if my ancestors were Celts or not, but with music like this where do I sign up?

  • So proud to be 3/4 Irish!

  • If you ever have any doubts about the importance of the Irish or the weight of their contributions to Western culture and society, remember that when continental Europe was at its knees while the barbarians ran amok, the Irish kept and preserved the history of Europe and the West. They literally saved civilization. The Irish, themselves.

Don't believe me? Anthropologists put together a book called "How the Irish Saved Civilization"

    Check it out

  • Irish people contribute to the world a lot of thing such as music ,dance , brave , art and fun........I love this music so much.

  • @1benjiebaby Learn your history mate we are britons not celts!

  • Hey Guys!!!! don't let out my Ibero-Celt people of Northern Spain, Galicia, Asturias, Navarra!!!

  • So this song was meant to stir up nationalism and pride?

  • It's not my duty as a Turkish but I must say this.

Irish people who live abroad should not forget your ancestors, history, culture, language. You shouldn't forget why you live abroad. You should not forget Great Famine and famine queen victoria. Irish people are most honourable people in Europe.

Erin Go Bragh. Up the CELTS...

  • @rapid37 I'm chinese and though I have no duty too, I support rapid37's words 100%. Irish people have contributed so much to the world with their beautiful natural landscapes, amazing music, positive mentallity and high regard of courage and bravery. The Irish are indeed unique, mesmerizing, and should I say this ... magical?

  • @rapid37 Go raibh maith agat, agus go maith le chéile. I am Irish/American. It seems most people I meet forget their ancestry and families customs. My family converted to Christianity when they moved here in America. Before my Granddad died (years before) he told me of runes and bedtime stories of great Gods and how man came to be. Now as an adult, I adapted my ancestors beliefs and embraced my heritage. Even hold the rune "Ansuz" on left arm. And Celts weren't just Irish. =] again buíochas leat

  • @rapid37 Irish people rule

  • @rapid37 lol Celts is a cuture not a people btw.

  • @artstudent07 I know but Irish people protect their culture. Others are like english, of course not all of them.

  • @rapid37 Awesome words!

  • 100% Irish by blood and 100% American by birth and proud to be both. Sending some love to my long lost family members in Ireland. Shláinte chun tú féin agus do theaghlaigh.

  • so nice pity is all changed to anglisized

  • amazing how a tune can bring you back to the days...i grew up in a Irish household & Sundays were always a day of family getting together. good food, laughter, music & dancing. this song had me just a jigging along! thank you :-)

  • Good music. Dont hate me for this, but reminds my of runescape music XD

  • AMAZING SONG!!! I love the celtic music and that song is my favourite^^ it just makes me happy and wipes the grey clouds away ^_^ thanks :D

  • All I can think of when I listen to this is Lord of The Dance......my entire childhood is centred around Lord of The Dance ^_^

  • @dahvievanity1995 thank god, an American who understands ancestoral logic. If you are born in a country (Canada for me) where ur blood does not originate from (Britain + Germansy + Sweden for me), you cannot possibly be American/Canadian, ie. i consider myself Canadian by birth, Irish by blood. cheers :)

  • aye was born in america but me grandparents came from ireland.Proud to call me hertige as a Celt!!!

  • Great

    Hate-Britain

Love-Scotland,Ireland,Wales And England Together In Peace!!!!

  • Whoa..

  • fuck the comment section, it ruins every video.

  • Celtic = Modern made up term first coined as 'Celtic' by the Welsh linguist Edward Lhuyd in 1707 who used the term to group old languages from across the British isles and parts of continental Europe, the term was heavily romanticised in the 1800s, by the early 1900s, it was hi-jacked by Irish republicans who used the term as a political tool to resist Britishness during the height of the Irish republican movement by re-defining it as an ethnic term instead of a linguistic term, hence it's fake.

  • @segano1 so... Gaelic suits your fancy?

  • @segano1 Celt actually came from Greek to describe the people who inhabited modern-day Belgium, France, Northern Italy, Croatia, West-central Anatolia, most of Iberia (hence the name given to northern central Spain as "Celtiberia") and the British Isles...it was not made up. And I don't know how a word can be "fake", anyway.

  • @Bloodmoon17 I like how your defending mine, and perhaps your celtic ancestry, but i'm afraid you're incorrect. The Celtic (and all types of Gaelic, like Breton or Pict) come from Northern France and Germany, known as the Gauls, who moved to Briton and became the Gaels, henceforth splitting off into clans. But yes, the Greeks identified their enemies; the men of the desert, the Balkans, the Nords, and the Gaels.

  • @segano1 So you're saying Irish people aren't Celtic? You're friend Edward Lhuyd would have disagreed. The term is used both linguistically and culturally in modern usage. The only significant Celtic people left are the Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Breton, Cornish and Manx. So I'm not sure how the word Celtic is fake. Irish people would have been described as Celtic by Lhuyd for 3000 years; and it was used by the Irish to generalize differences in the peoples. Ireland = Celtic. England = Germanic.

  • @ronansher You forgot the Gellaci (I think thats how its spelled) In northern spain.

  • @segano1

Celts is just a word to describe something, as are all words in every language. Generally refers to the ethnic group of gauls, welsh, irish, pictish, briton, bretonic peoples that resided in northwestern and central areas of europe during the iron age and roman times.

The world was practically a lot bigger 2000 years ago, and even small areas developed distinctive ethnic groups. Celtic now refers to descendants of such people

  • @segano1 Nonsense

  • @segano1 Whether it is called Celtic or Irish it doesn't change the culture, language, myths and music that it unique to the people of the Isles whether they be Welsh or Irish. If the people today who speak Celtic languages can't be called Celts then no one can. “If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, it must be a duck”

  • @dahvievanity1995 Naw you're just a Yank, not Scottish at all.

You were born and bred American and live and contribute to the USA.

Just because you were distantly related to some one who lived in Scotland that nationality does not extend to foreigners like you, you as an individual is American and nothing else, you can't be part nationality.

  • @segano1

If Americans focused more on who they are today, maybe we could pull our heads out our asses. (I'm American, btw.)

  • Stop putting Scotland's name into shitty little Plastic Paddie Yank made Celtic bullshit Irish videos.

Scotland has nothing to do with ireland!

  • @segano1 You don't know much about Scotland then. Scotland got it's name and Gaelic language and culture came from the Scoti who went to the west coast of Scotland from Ireland in the 5th Century. The Scoti was the Latin name for the Irish and where Scotland gets it's name. Most of what Scotland is known for is from the Gaels who came from Ireland even Mac. All the Gaelic languages are from Old Irish, whiskey was first recorded in Ireland. I could go on but you get the picture.

  • @segano1 Don't forget that people have been going back and forth from Ireland and Britain for centuries. Most of the famous Scottish entertainers have recent Irish descent Sean Connery, Billy Connelly, Gerard Butler. Most of Ulster has Scottish ancestry (including many Catholics). You are just in denial with that comment.

  • Not much of a cry! Cry means sadness, longing, but this is a crappy modern mix of some sorts. Doesnt express anything at all. No emotion, no joy, no cry, nothing.

  • @sorin1918 Hmph....Veritas you say.

  • Ya'll just enjoy hey...Why want more always hey...

  • I love Irish people Irish beer and Green things I'm not Irish but I love their lifestyle

  • @dahvievanity1995 If you replace "God" with "Nature", I totally agree! ;)

  • @stijneke2911

    the hell is the difference?

  • @hcig God doesn't exist, nature does.

But that's just my personal opinion, I respect yours.

  • How Beautiful *O*

  • 100% Irish And 1000% Proud for my Irish Ancesters That went to Australia And Mostly AMERICA !! love you all

    Cap.Robert.J.Oneill Army rank :D :D

  • @Rob88tupac America is a continent.. if you are talking about the USA than say USA or usamerica.. thanks! ( many mexicans, brazilians, colombian etc. take that verry personaly) ;)

  • @semestresito America is a continent? Two continents have the name America: North America and South America. Furthermore, there is only one country in the world that has America in its name: United States of America. Therefore it's logical to shorten the name to America. I believe this has been done for over 200 years. What is it that makes people take that "personaly"? Or are you speaking for yourself? If so, let me say that I'm sorry that offends you. Does Canada take it personally? - American

  • Half irish - Half scottish and 100% proud !!

  • @dahvievanity1995 i might be no scotmen but i know what ur talking about , doesnt matter where you are born as long as your blood tells the difference

  • @madkiller566 No, it DOES matter where you were born. That's what nationality is, without it people would just make up their own idea and pretend to be what they want to be!

Being Scottish and having a distant Scottish ancestor are two entirely different things, there is a fine line between the two, and you are a Yank (American).

  • @segano1 yes you are speaking wise words but does it change the fact that even if you were born in another country that it doesnt make you for example scottish ? Yes it is a difference but it doesnt change much as long as you embrace your herritage. Btw im no yank ;p im an western european just like you , dutch to be precise

  • @segano1 There's a big difference that you choose to ignore. Of course you're correct about nationality, as that is the NATION of whence you were created. Genetics, however, prove to be much different. Usually there is much confusion if someone claims to be "Welsh" or whatever...though, should they say "I'm of Welsh descent", that makes perfect sense. You can literally see the difference in people's features. Us American Indians see Caucasians and European, not "American", for example.

  • I'll save you 50 seconds of your time, start listening at :50 seconds.

  • i wish that i where born there... i love they miths and songs.. everything :P

( im going to have my childs there :P)

  • PRO SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE

  • Anyway though.. I would LOVE to visit Scotland or Ireland. They're so beautiful in pictures, regardless of North versus South =)

  • hahaha..

Southern America is better than Northern America?? Depends on the state itself and what your interests are I suppose. There's as much a difference between North and South as there is East and West. Not all southern states are created equal and not all northern ones are either for that matter. Also depends on what city you are in. This is such a silly conversation.. There's just as much diversity in the US as anywhere. You can't just divide it into two pieces and say one is better =P

  • @mooky3100 i dont like American entirely

  • @youpon1000 you don't like American entirely. didn't you scots along with the english make the current language, u's missin' an "s". i guess public education over here is better than over there.

  • @bowyerification oh hush I typed a few letters wrong...

  • @youpon1000 Well that's an unfortunate and cynical opinion. You really dislike all Americans? You can hate America if you want, for whatever reason, but please, judge it's people on a person-to-person basis. This really isn't worth arguing. Either you see the "big picture" or you live your whole life through tunnel vision.. Lord help us all.

  • @mooky3100 I know what you mean.. it's just that many Americans NOT ALL are extremely selfish and bigoted look I lived in the nation all my life I know

  • @youpon1000 Ohh gotcha. I guess I've just had one too many conversations with people from other countries about how they thought that America and Americans were something else entirely until they actually came here and talked with the people who live here and experienced things for themselves. It depends on the part of the US they go to though. I mean, as you know, different parts are much worse with selfishness and bigotry than others, but I just think our world view is so unfortunate

  • @mooky3100 we have our world view for two reasons..

    Our Religious Institutions

The Conservative Government that is run by business

  • @youpon1000 I admire your intelligence.

Glad to see the world isn't full of fucking morons.

  • @XianNeng How's life as a sobbing pessimist?

  • @mooky3100 Stop killing any other nation. Stop getting involved in the EU politics trying to fuck us up. Stop voting for the same assholes and then you will earn the right to be judged individually! Until then, stfu and just enjoy the music video unless you're ready for criticism. "Lord" help you only! :p You need it more! :p

  • @DKDamilos I don't support the killing and wars that go on. I personally stay out of politics because I think that our system is screwed up, and I haven't voted in any election. You will find that MANY Americans are the same. With that said, I think it's fair to say you I can be judged individually, as well as many other Americans. You do realize that our political leaders do what they want and not what the majority of America wants, right?? No need to get nasty.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @DKDamilos I haven't personally supported or done any of those things and neither have most Americans! It is so funny to me how other countries think that we Americans actually agree with EVERYTHING our leaders do. WE DON'T. Judge Americans individually, not as a whole group. The media twists things SO much, you don't even understand. The majority of the people of America aren't what you think we are.

  • @DKDamilos ALSO: bring on the criticism, because you are just saying things that I 100% agree with! You are just so caught up in bashing AMERICA that you failed to realize that I am not "America", I am a CITIZEN of America, which does NOT mean that I am the one causing YOUR country grief, because I am NOT our ridiculous president! If you haven't noticed our stupid government does what IT wants, NOT what it's PEOPLE want and I AM an individual, so you can't judge ME as a Nation!

  • Comment removed

  • @mooky3100 kk now stop with the walls of text and stick to the music of this video! :)

  • Beautiful

  • Im a really lover of this type of music! irish music! scotish music! they live inside of me xD!! Im peruvian and even so im a big fan of this music!!

  • so amazing!!!!I wanna visit Ireland so much!!!!!

  • one off my favorite songs on my i pod probably the coolest and most relaxing even though some parts are really fast paced

  • @nikoninja16 Oh cool, that makes me sirish then :L

  • hmmm.... i swear this is battle music from some video game......

  • @TankMasta45621 two worlds that awful game

  • @nikoninja16 Is Sirish Scottish and Irish?

  • @jordanmylesevans why down for south wales D= and you forgot about the other reagions of wales.........

  • @jordanmylesevans Why thumbs down for England and South Wales? You do realise that everyone in the British Isles has most likely got blood from most of the areas of Britain and Ireland if you go back far enough.... so why the hate?

  • Comment removed

  • @LordHannigan Agreed

  • @Indeed999 Thats actually not true. If you say the opposite, then maybe. If you go far back enough, the English, or back then, the Angles (spelling? Angels?), came from the south and eastern Europe. Northern British (Scottish, etc), came from the west, like ancient Ireland. There is a big difference between "celtic" blood and anglo-saxons. Dont get me wrong, I am not agreeing with the thumbs down comment.

  • @Kyousuke687 You're right of course. But what I'm saying is that there's no reason to hate other human beings because most humans are a mix of many, many things that they might not even know about. Like, my surname is quite scandinavian sounding, so our family are wondering if we have any Viking in us. You just don't know; it's really interesting ;D

  • @Indeed999 I don't say thumbs up or down, however, England is still laying claim to Northern Ireland and Scotland, both of which should be free and independent countries. Too much blood has been spilled, and is till being spilled in Northern Ireland. England would be a stronger and more respected country if it finally realized its empire is over.

  • @c4runner86 Yes, we should realise our empire is over, and if those countries want independence, then of course we should give it to them. But I also don't think that it's awful to be united either... it's a complex issue, but ultimately I agree with you.
