  • Yep. this is def. my favorite version of The Nurse Who Loved Me.

  • Joey from "blossom" whould say "WHOA"

  • Oh Maynard, my idol, if you were a perfect flower and my nose a penis, the soft kiss of your sweet fragrance would compel me to sneeze my reproductive fluids all over your stigma

Oh Maynard! Does my desire for you give you the creeepy deepies??? I hope my fanaticism does not cause you to shy away, please do not close your pedals, for clearly, dearly, I want you to bear my fruit!

That sweet fruit I shall prepare into and an enema and promptly inject into into my butthole so we can unite.

  • @EngrossingEnigma Way to creepy sounding in my humble opinion go fuck yourself

  • @bilderbergresistance lol, that was the point idolization is creepy and funny. Especially Justin Beiber. I've don't watch TV and I'm too young to know what mindless program your talking about. Idolization. 1. To regard with blind admiration or devotion.

  • i love how the bass is just ALL OVER

  • Yes, my favorite version.

  • NIce cover

  • thumbs up for Failure everybody! :]

  • @bucovineanul92 stick your thumb in your ass! APC does it way better!

  • where can i find this version of " The Nurse Who Loved Me " in audio track ?

  • drummer is REALLY feeling it from 1:04 - 1:14

  • definitely the sweetest song I've ever heard.

  • 7 peoples nurse didnt have phamacy keys.

  • Say hello to tha rugs topography it holds quiIte alot of interest with her face down on it.

Maynard Is the GREATEST. I LOVE IT.

  • Pure hipnotic beauty

Great moment in time to always revisit

    Brilliant!!

    Assim vale a pena!! ( )

  • god the switch up after the chorus is so sexy

  • good, but they are no FAILURE

  • @3.44 I love the guitar part here :)

  • damn i dont know which version i like better, both sound fucking awesome! maynard is a genious

  • Or maybe he just perfers it because he can get into the music more in his own way.

  • Maynard mostly stays in the shadows. Guess he doesn't like to be gawked at.

  • His voice is almost angelic.

  • @Rechiau - Almost?

  • failure is so much better at this song - i wish maynard would stick to making wine and whiney songs he actually wrote

  • @blaubak don't listen to something you don't enjoy listening too then.

  • @blaubak I kinda wish you'd stick to sucking dick.

  • @myfragilesin fuck that kid

  • @jamesrandle46and2 Mind you, Failure IS awesome.

  • @myfragilesin failure sings it just as well, agreed.

  • @TheSquetch You should know. You are the ULTIMATE "failure". You have failed and failed and failed against me. I have SLAUGHTERED you, and scared you so shitless that you've RUN FROM ME AGAIN.

Consider yourself annihilated. I ALWAYS win. You found out the hard way. That's because you're stupid.

And so endeth the final lesson.

  • @myfragilesin stfu you dimestore snapperhead gimp..lmao or i'll bitchslap you to the other side of the cosmos..lol ""NEXTOID!!!""

  • @lllldepechemodellll Are you serious? Fuck off, cunt.

  • @myfragilesin i'm always serious!!! NEVER CROSS AN ATHEIST!!! ESPECIALLY THE ATHEIST MODE MRSQUELTCH TAYLORJONAS101 IIITHETERMINATORIII IAMTHETERMINATORRR

  • @myfragilesin don't lol at the atheist depeche mode terminator, son...see my other screen names IF you can find them..I NEVER STOP<--- I ALWAYS WIN!!! I BITCHSLAP MY GIMPS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COSMOS!!! rofl **I HAVE SPOKE!**

  • @blaubak You fucking fail :)

  • I think it's ironic that they decide to record the cover after Troy is no longer in the band. : (

  • I love that you can hear the Failure version of the song(the original) coming out.

  • it's so beautiful, it almost makes me cry

  • @pestarzt Me to ! There is So much emotion in it.....

  • failures version should be, and is (in my book) a classic. However, you can't be unappreciative that APC remade it, in this manner.

  • yea its cool..

it just doesnt give me the same feel

    when they change it.

  • I think the difference is the studio recording meant to fit in place with all the other songs on the album...is differenbt than a live performance of the song as an individual piece....I loved the surprise when they did this song electric....was cool to me

  • I like how they kept the authenticity of the Failure version but i really like the album version way better.

The violin and viola go beautifully with the song and Maynard's voice.

  • They didn't ruin it, when it goes into the harder version later it's because they are doing the original, by failure. Dumb asses. They aren't just changing it to make you unhappy, that's how it originally went. Even though i do like APC's soft version better. it fits the lyrics better

  • I like how they changed the whole feel while keeping the same song, it's impressive what the bands maynard is in can accomplish. For instance, Tool took their song Pushit, and completely changed the whole feel of the song while keeping it's authenticity intact. I definitely admire Their music, as a fan, and as a musician myself.

  • ummm well, i kinda think they should of kept it original for concert, but its cool.

  • amazing guitar(s)..

  • i havta agree... it's not as haunting...

  • it's better than when the levee breaks.

  • @ AOCRkid:

when the levee breaks is one of my favorite songs of all time (the original), but i still like their "cover" ... it's a complete new version just as the nurse who loved me so you cant really call it a cover or compare it to the original...

  • Man Billy's new project Ashes Divide is incredible. He's not too underated but he deserves much more attention, in my humble opinion

  • Mind Blowing! I get lost in Maynard's voice.

  • Now here's an appropriate Nick for the right video!! Even stranger, the comment and connection to the lyrics haha

    That gets a thumbs up.

  • I definitely have to appreciate it's origins, but this is for sure one of the best covers I've ever heard. i especially dig the key changes at the second and third verses - fill up a wetsuit full of maggots and just put it on. awesome

  • That's funny.

  • I love how he stands in the shadows in the back. He's so weird in the best ways

  • Saye hellooooooooo to everything you've left behind *.*

  • This is a very imporant piece. I think it's about seeing only what you want to see in someone, which everyone may be guilty of from time to time. Often we may pay for this with our own self-esteem.

  • If everyone liked this then it would not be cool, Thanks sofuturistic, fuckn pozer......

  • I guess he is better if you like michael bolton style vocals. His little skirt and the I'm-so-creepy-I'm-cool treatment of this song sort of ruin it.

  • First Off, dannykarey, You're An Idiot! Even Maynard Prefers FAILUREs Version Better, Thats Why He(and APC) Covered It. This Is An Interesting Version, Cool And All, But if You Dont Know The Original(by FAILURE) from The Best Album Of The 90's "Fantastic Planet", Then Go Get It

  • Maynards voice could easily make me have an orgasm. I love it.

  • @Lxisa what you talkin' about?? it DOES make me have an orgasm =] multiple ones

  • I think this version is much better then failures, maynard is a much better singer, and way more talent in a perfect circle then in failure

  • They play this so much better live. I can't stand the studio version of this song. Neither compare to Failure, though

  • Original version (Failure) is better!

  • freese is the man

  • This song is so beautiful. When I listen to it I feel like I'm on one of the best drug trips I've ever had.

  • jus announced that apc was doin more in the coming years!!!! maynard announced it, i def got my fingers crossed

  • can you give a link pertaining that information?

  • i love this song.. ;)

  • I saw them in houston the same year...FUKIN EPIC

  • this actually is not that bad....i guess when they rock it, original song, it gives me goose bumps..but yeah it's really good and not the cd version of apc...they should have done this cover on their album...

  • Wow! wonderful performance. i saw them in Long Island in 2004. I forgot how great they were. I hope they come back in the near future, but seems like all members are busy with other projects. *sigh*

  • Saw them in November of 2003, year of the rabbit opened for them and they did this song and Maynard sang it with Ken Andrews, then during APC's set they did their version of this song and Ken Andrews sang it with them. APC covered it from Failure, Ken Andrews band before Year of the Rabbit. Seen them twice hope to god they reunite one day so i can see em again.

  • Dig the "darker" version they do. I wish they would've recorded it this way, seeing as how the studio version was complete crap.

  • i think the failure version is better, but think the way maynard sings it is better

  • This song is so pretty when Maynard sings it live. :)

  • i like this cover def but the original to me by Failure still holds up better

  • The lyrics are so great, if you didnt know this was a cover you would think Maynard wrote it himself.

  • Maynard sang the last line of this song perfecty, that last two notes were held so solid

  • FAILURE!!! :-P

  • whoever said this was a bad comment is retarded. failure is the name of the band who wrote this

  • Most over-looked band in the '90s

  • That's not possible considering their first album wasn't even released until 2000. Nice try though and GG to the people that gave this comment a thumbs up.

  • It was a reply to the person who wrote about the original artist who wrote this song.

    FAILURE.

    Perhaps you might be one.

  • Wft are you talking about?

  • Maynard is GOD.

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees

  • it's funny how you all go on about "this version". the difference between this and the album version, is that the're just playing a more straight up cover of the actual song. the only difference is maynard vocals, which, while I like failure;s better, are fucking amazing.

  • to TheJayTrain:

And he uses more effects on his voice than on the album version I think.

Actually, there're more effects on everything.

  • beautiful

    The Cure meets Gabriel-era Genesis

  • I love the live version of this! Josh takes it to a great place with the drums.

  • FYI Twiggy Ramirez plays bass in this video, Great Band had the privilage to see before they broke up, not quite Tool, but a powerful group with great tunes.

  • fucking genius

  • Such a great rendetion of one of Failure's best songs.Good to see maynard aprecciates one of the bands that opened for him and tool back in the early days.

  • halloween 03 san antonio texas...MJK dresses up as "shakes the clown" and gives best performance ever..I will never forget..other guys dressed up too. Superb!

  • this version is better than one on the 13th step. i remember seeing em cover it in NEPA a few years back. its still not as crazy as failure's original. its too polished. the song is about being in rehab and trying to win over the nurse's sympathy cause she has the "pharmacy keys".

  • a GREAT song made better by a live performance! Maynard is a GOD! Say Hello!

  • seen maynard with tool on rock am ring. he is and always will be the best vocalist in rockmusic. he never makes any mistake, he's a fuckin god when it comes to singing.

  • you went to rock am ring? thats like the main festival i want to see before i die haha

  • i really wish it was possible to see this band live

  • alot of the songs of that cd i think were covers

  • Your thinking of emotive. This was on 13th step the only cover on that album.

  • With Drums sounds better

  • Yeah!! I think their best song is Passive!

  • I think their best is Gravity off Thirteenth Step.

  • live or studio version it doesnt matter as long as we put an essence in what song we are listening, there's nothing wrong with it

  • You obviously aren't listening correctly...have you tried removing your head from your ass?

  • this version is actually started as the perfect circle CD version, then they throw a live version in it, and it ends like the failure version...btw if you have only heard the failure version on you tube...go buy Fantastic Planet (one of the absolute best CDs of the 90's. its fucking gorgeous... thanks for the post

  • this live version is not so good, but i absolutely love the original. APC did an ahhsome job! I just listened to Failure's version & i didnt care for it at all.

  • who said this was there best song ?? dumb ass !!

  • I did. that's my dumb ass opinion. what would a genius like you say is their best song? doesn't matter. i just happen to think this is their best one. fuck off.

  • hahahahahah!!

  • hell yeah sweet song for sure, buuuut its a remake from the band Failure. Still very sweet though, you should check out failure

  • This song is so beautiful. I absolutely love it. It has this very eerie lullaby qualities to it.

  • awesome version

  • i love and miss this band so..

  • Failure's version is 20x better than the cover

  • I like APC's version better, just my personal opinion, :P im alowed to have one

  • I think that the original version of the song is Much Much better than the live! The album version ignites feelings of nostalgia, happiness and sadness!Makes you feel soothing and calm when you hear it!The organ and the violins along with Maynard's voice...more than perfect! This live version of it, makes it just another APC song

  • both versions, failure and APC are amazing

failure has a much more raw verision, and they wrote the song as well, so props

APC did what they do best, they created a musically brilliant cover of the song.

  • What is it they always say? Maynard is god? Well this cover is god awful! The guys in Failure had to roll their eyes when they heard this version of their song. Anyone not familiar with the original version of this song should check it out. It is much-much better than this cover. See the Failure album "Fantastic Planet". I'm just being honest.

  • apparently youre biased...i know the original as well and i think this is a damn good remake

  • I'm not biased. I just prefer the original. There are some cover songs out there that out-do the original version. "All Along The Watchtower" is one that comes to mind. IMO this just isn't a good cover.

  • You can prefer the original without being a close minded dick.

  • Well, live.... It's not so good. I heard both versions, and this one isn't quite as good. The /album/ version of APC's cover, however, has a type of feel that neither this nor the Failure's original version has. It plays much softer, much more trippy and less rock-ish. I don't think DieKnowMite is being biased, I just think he's giving a fair review on a statement he believes its true.

  • Great moment captured...but you missed freese every single time..the filming distribution of each one of them wasnt good at all.
